Nasty comments

Joe's POV

I was currently looking through the comments on my latest YouTube video of me and Dianne at Waitress when she came to visit. I liked all the lovely comments about me and Dianne and continued to read. As I got further down the comments I started to notice that their where a lot of nasty comments about Dianne about how she wasn't good enough for me and that she had no talent. It made me really upset reading the comments. After I had read a few I decided I couldn't read anymore. How could they be so nasty to the girl that I loved. I had noticed this regularly on my recent videos that people where continuous putting Dianne down. I had decided that I had enough of it and that I was going to have to say something about it. It had to stop.

Dianne's POV

I got home from training for this weeks pro number on Strictly to find Joe sitting on the sofa with his laptop on his lap staring into space. I walked over to him and sat down beside him and looked at the laptop screen to see that he had one of his recent YouTube videos up. 'Hey you okay' I asked. He jumped out of his skin turning to look at me. He quickly closed his laptop screen which I though was weird and said 'Yeah I'm good, how long have you been sitting there.' 'Not long I've only just got in. Why did you close the laptop for' I asked. 'It's nothing' he replied as he lent closer to me and placed a kiss on my lips. He was definitely acting weird but I decided to leave it for now. If something was bothering his he would tell me in the end.

Joe's POV

I don't know how long i had been sitting there for before I heard a voice next to me. I jumped out of my skin having not heard Dianne walk in. I turned to look at her and quickly closed the laptop. I didn't want her to see the comments about her because I didn't want them to upset her. I lent across and placed a kiss on her lips before placing my laptop on the floor and opening my arms so that she could snuggle into them. We laid there for a good half an hour before I decided I had to get up and start making dinner. As I was cooking the comments where still swirling through my head. I had no idea whether Dianne had read them but I really hoped that she hadn't. I looked over towards Dianne and she was scrolling through her phone but I had no idea what she was looking at. Fifteen minutes later dinner was ready so I took it over to Dianne on the sofa. She put the phone down and took the plate off me thanking me. All the way through dinner she was very quiet and this was very unlike her. She finished her food very quickly and got off the sofa to put her plate in the dishwasher. She told me she was going to go upstairs to run herself a bath and up the stairs she went.

Dianne's POV

Joe had been acting weird since I got in from work. He got up to go and make dinner so I decided to go onto the YouTube video that Joe had been looking at. I knew that he had been looking through the comments so I scrolled down on my phone until I got to the comments section. I started to read the comments and there where some really lovely ones at the beginning about me and Joe and then they turned a bit nasty. They where all comments focused on me. People where saying that I wasn't good enough for Joe, how I had no talent, that I was really ugly and how they weren't surprised I got voted out of Strictly because nobody liked me. I could feel the tears welling up in the corner of my eyes but I sucked them down not wanted Joe to see them. I looked up and I could see Joe dishing up out food. I took a deep breath and then put my phone down as Joe walked over to me. He passed me a plate of food and I took it thanking him. All the way through dinner all I could think about was the comments that I just read. I knew that people online could be nasty but I didn't know they where this nasty. I finished my food quickly and then told Joe I was going upstairs for a bath. I turned the bath on the then decided to look through the comments on some of Joe's other videos. Again I found more nasty comments about me. The more I read them the more they upset me and before I realised it I had tears streaming down my face. I don't know how long I had been laying there crying before I heard a noise at the bedroom door. I quickly sat up and rubbed my eyes, trying to get rid of any trace of my tears. But the minutes Joe looked at me I couldn't help but start to well up again.

Joe's POV

I finished my food and then went to tidy up the kitchen. Once everything was clean I decided to go upstairs and see if Dianne was alright. I pushed open the door to see Dianne laying on the bed. When she realised I was there she quickly sat up and rubbed her eyes. This is when I realised that she was crying. She tried to hid it from me but I could read her like a book. She looked up at me and I could see tears welling up in her eyes again. I quickly made my way over to her gathering her in my arms 'what's wrong baby' I asked. 'I could see what you where looking at early. I wondered why you closed your laptop so quickly so I decided to look through the comments on the video.' 'Aww baby you shouldn't have done that' I replied. 'I wanted to know what it was and then I decided to look through your other videos as well.' By this point her eyes where completely filled with tears. 'Why do they have to be so mean' she asked with a lost puppy look on her face. 'I don't know baby but you have to know that nothing they say is true. I love you so much and you are completely perfect to me.' We stayed on the bed hugging for a while before Dianne decided to get in her bath.

When I was sure that she was happy in her bath I decided to run downstairs to the spare bedroom where I kept all my filming equipment. I set it all up and then started to record. 'Hi everyone welcome back to my channel. Today's video is not a very nice one. I feel like I have to address something that I have noticed lately on my videos. There has been an increasing amount of horrible comments written about Dianne and it is not on. It upsets me and it upsets Dianne and it shouldn't be happening. It is a form of online bullying and if it doesn't stop then I will be forced to report these people to the police. Cyber bullying is a form of harassment and I will not stand for it. You all have to understand that Dianne is now the most important person in my life. I love her with all my heart and I will do whatever I can to protect her. I realise this is only a small proportion of my fans but I take it very seriously. That's it for this video but I really hope that you listen to me. Bye for now.' I turned my camera equipment of and took the memory card out of the camera so I could transfer it to my laptop. I went up to our bedroom to check on Dianne. She was still in the bath so I decided to see if I could quickly edit the video. As it was only short I managed to edit it in a few minutes. I could hear noise coming from the bathroom so I knew that Dianne would be out at any minute. I quickly posted the video and then closed my laptop placing it on the floor.

Dianne's POV

The bath was so relaxing and just what I needed. Right now all I wanted was cuddles with my Joseph so I got out of the bath and wrapped a towel around myself. I made my way into our bedroom to find Joe sitting on the bed. 'You feeling better sweetie' he asked. 'Yeah a little' I replied 'now I just want my Joseph cuddles.' 'That can be arranged' he said. I quickly put my pj's on and got onto the bed with him. He laid down and opened up his arms so I could snuggle into them. 'I hope you know that I will always protect you' Joe said. 'I know you will baby' i replied. 'I love you so much Dianne and I always will.' 'I love you too baby' and with that we both drifted of to sleep.
