Proposal

Joe's POV

Me and Dianne had been asked to do the tour again this year. I of course jumped at the idea having really missed dancing with Dianne. I also thought it would be the perfect time to proposal to her. I've been thinking about it for a while but could never come up with the perfect way to proposal to her. When they asked us to do the tour a light went off in my head. I could proposal during one of the live shows when she was doing the one things she loved the most with all our close friends from Strictly around us.

Not many people knew about my plans. Dianne's dad Mark knew us I had phoned him a month ago to ask his permission to marry his daughter. He had been so happy when I had told him my plans. The tour producers knew as well as they had choreographed the dance in which I would proposal to her. It was a group dance with all the Strictly cast and at the end I was going to drop to one knee and ask her to marry me. I had invite my mum, dad, sister, aunts and uncles to this show. I hadn't told them what was going on just that they needed to be here. I had also flown over Dianne's mum, dad, brothers, niece and nephew over as I wanted them all to be here. They had no idea what was going on except for Mark just that they where here for a surprise for Dianne.

As the day I was going to proposal got nearer and nearer I started to feel nervous. What if she said no. I knew I loved her with all my heart and that she was the girl I wanted to spend the rest of my life with but what if she didn't feel the same. All the plans where set I had bought the most perfect ring. It had a diamond in the middle and two little rubys each side of it. I knew she would love it.

It got to the final day of the tour. The day I was going to proposal. I was so nervous and I knew Dianne could tell. She came over to me and asked if I was alright and I told her I was just nervous about the dance and she seemed to believe me. We did our dances and then it came to the final number. We ended in the middle of the stage and as the music stopped I got down on one knee getting the ring out of my pocket and opening it to show her. Dianne placed her hand over her mouth and gasped in surprise. 'Dianne since the day I met you I knew you where the girl for me. There are so many things I love about you, your sense of humour, your personality and your beauty. Everyday I spend with you makes my life better and I know your the girl I want spend all my days with. I want to have children with you and grow old with you. Dianne Buswell will you marry me?' By this time Dianne had tears spilling down her face. She slowly nodded her head 'yes, yes, a million time yes' she said. I took the ring out of the box and placed it on her left ring finger. A massive cheer came from the crowd. I then stood up gathering her in my arms and placing a passionate kiss on her lips. 'I love you so much' I whispered into her ear. Before I knew it all the celebs, pros and judges made there way over to us congratulating us and giving as hugs.

As they where hugging us I saw my family and her family make their way onto the stage. I knew Dianne hadn't seen them because she was engulfed in a hug with all the pros and  was facing the other way.  As everyone moved away from Dianne her parents walked up to her from behind and said 'congratulations Dot.' She turned around seeing them and give them a big hug tears fall no from her eyes again. 'I can't believe your here' she said. We both gave her family and my family hugs and then I walked back over to her. 'I am so happy' I said. 'I can't wait to spend the rest of my life with you baby, I love you' she said. 'I love you too' I said.

Today was the happiest day of my life. The girl of my dreams had agreed to marry me and I was gonna spend the rest of my life with her.
