Joe and Dianne: Oneshots

Telling the family about us

Joe's POV

It was currently the semi final off Strictly and today my mum, sister and Alfie where coming to watch us. I was so excited about it as I had decided today I was going to tell them that I was dating Dianne. I knew they would be happy for me as they where always telling we that I needed to get a girlfriend. They had all met Dianne before and they seemed to get on well so I was hoping all would go well. I was currently feeling a little nervous. It was a mixture of the two dances we had to perform soon, my whole family being there and telling everyone, we had just been given a half an hour warning until the show would start . Me and Dianne where both ready so we where sitting in my dressing room going through some of the fan mail we had got. I loved doing this with Dianne and seeing how much support we had was just brilliant. I was so happy that my fans loved Dianne it made me feel at ease when we finally told everyone that we where together. The time came for us to go out and do our dances. I absolutely loved both of them even through we didn't get brilliant scores. I felt like the Viennese waltz was us telling the world how we felt about each other. I couldn't help but sworn over her a little more as we danced. Once the night was finished we went and got changed before Dianne met me at my dressing room. We where going out for a few drinks with my family. I could tell that she was a little nervous. Even though she had met them before this would be different.

Dianne POV

I felt like today went absolutely brilliantly. Even through we didn't get the best scores I loved both dances especially doing them with Joe. It was just the icing on the cake when we got through to the final. The show had now finished and I headed back to get changed before I met up with Joe and his family for a few drinks. I was feeling especially nervous about tonight as Joe had decided that tonight he was going to tell his family that we where together. I made my way to Joe's dressing room after getting changed and knocked on the door. He opened it straight away with a beaming smile before pulling me into the dressing room. He closed the door behind him before placing a passionate kiss on my lips. 'I can't believe we are in the final' he said. 'Well it s all down to your hard work' I replied. 'And yours' he replied 'I could never have got this far without you. I love you so much.' 'I love you too' I replied. 'You ready for tonight' he said. 'Yeah a little nervous but I'll be good' I replied. 'They will love you' he replied 'how could they not you make me so happy.' I smiled before placing another kiss on his lips before we left the dressing room.

Joe's POV

Walking into the studio I could see my mum, Zoe and Alfie stood waiting for us. The minute they saw as smiles spread across their faces. I gave my sister a hug, followed by my mum and then finally Alfie. Dianne stood next to me and waved at them all saying hi. We made our way out of the studio and round the corner to the bar we where going to. I looked my arms through Dianne's as we walked along and chatted to each other. I really wanted to hold her hand but I knew for now this would have to do until everyone knew about us. When we got in the bar we made our way over to a booth in the corner before I took everyone's drink orders and made my way over to the bar.

Zoe's POV

I knew there was something more between Joe and Dianne then just friendship and after watching their Viennese waltz tonight I was sure about it. I had seen the way that he had changed since he started this show. Not only was he more confident he was also happier and I knew that was down to Dianne. I watched them as we walked to the bar. They where so engulfed in each other. They had there arms entwined and where chatting away. Every so often one of them would start to laugh and then the other one would start. It was so lovely to see them together and I hoped that Joe had finally found the one. Once we got to the bar we went and sat down whilst Joe got us all drinks. I decided I wanted to know what was going on between them so I got up and said 'Dianne come to the bathroom with me.' She looked up at me and smiled before getting up and following me. As soon as we got in the bathroom I took her over to a quiet corner. I looked up at her and smiled and said 'is there anything you want to tell me. 'No' she replied a smile crossing her face. 'Dianne what going on between you and my brother.' She said nothing and looked at the floor. She didn't say anything I decided to continue talking 'because I've never seen him as happy as he has been in the last few months and I'm pretty sure that is down to you.' She looked up at me the smile still on her face as well as a slight blush. 'We where going to tell you all tonight but it seems like you have already sussed us out' she said. 'So I'm right you are together.' She nodded her head up and down 'just so you know he makes me really happy as well' she said. 'I'm glad Dianne. I was starting to get worried that he would never find anyone but you two fit together so well like two peas in a pod. I'm really glad he found you.' I could see her cheeks get a little red 'Thanks' she replied. 'Shall we go back outside they might start to wonder where we got too' I said.

Joe's POV

I walked back to the table with a tray off drinks to find just my mum and Alfie there. I placed the drinks on the table before sitting down 'where had Dianne and Zoe gone' I asked. 'Zoe dragged Dianne into the bathroom about ten minutes ago, they should be back in a minute' Alfie replied. In that minute I saw them both walking towards us and I could see a light blush on Dianne's cheeks. Zoe took a seat next to Alfie whilst Dianne came and sat next to me. I leaned nearer to her placing my lips next to her 'you alright' I asked. 'Yeah I'm good but your sister knows about us' she replied. 'What' I replied. 'Yeah she dragged me into the bathroom to ask me what was going on between us. Said she has never seen you so happy.' I smiled at her taking her hand under the table. 'She's right' I replied 'I've never been as happy as I am with you.' I placed a quick kiss on her cheek before saying 'do you think we should tell the rest.' 'We can do' she replied 'but I'm pretty sure if Zoe knows than the rest of them probably have an inkling as well.'

Dianne's POV

Joe looked at me and then towards the rest of the table. He took at deep breath and then said 'guys we have something to tell you.' Zoe looked towards me and gave me a little smile as Joe reached down and took my hand. 'Me and Dianne are together' he said. I looked at everyone's face and they all had massive smiles spreading across their faces. 'I'm so happy for you guys' Tracy said 'you guys are so great together from what I've seen. I know for a fact that Joe has never been as happy as he is at the moment and I'm pretty sure that's down to you' she said. I could feel my cheeks turning red as she said this and I turned to look at her 'Well I want you to know the feeling is mutual. I've never been as happy as I am with Joe.' I turned to look at him and smiled placing a quick kiss to his lips. 'Aww so cute' I heard from Zoe's mouth. I snuggled up next to Joe enjoying the rest of the evening with his family before we said bye to them and made our way back to the hotel. 'That went well' I said to Joe as soon as we got back to the hotel. 'I told you they would love you but not as much as I love you.' 'I love you too' i replied as I placed a kiss on his lips before we got into bed and snuggled together for the night.
