Joe and Dianne: Oneshots

Waltz week

Joe's POV

It was week five of the competition and this week we where doing the waltz. Rehearsals where going well this week. I was finding it a bit more difficult then the previous weeks but I find that is because there is so much to think about in the ballroom dances. It's Wednesday and today Zoe is coming in to see the dance. I'm really looking forward to it because she hasn't seen be dance yet and she hasn't met Dianne yet. I really hope they get on. It's midday and we have just finished another run through when we hear the door open. We both turn and look at the door as we see Zoe walk in. We both stand up from the log we are sitting on and make out way over to where Zoe is. I give her a hug and then she gives Dianne a hug. We sit down and have a little chat talking about how well this week is going. We decide to do a run through for her before the camera crew got here to film her and us.

Zoe's POV

Today was the day I was coming to watch Joe and Dianne practice their dance. I was very excited to see the dance and also to meet Dianne. Joe talks about her all the time when we speak on the phone and I wanted to see if anything was going on between the two of them. I walk into the training room about midday and they both turn to look at me. They look like they have just finished a run through of the dance as they are sitting on a log. They both get up and Joe grabs Dianne's hand and they walk over to me. I don't think he even realised he did it. Once they get to me Joe let's go of her hand and gives me and hug. I then give Dianne a hug and we all sit down. We start talking about their dance and how it's going this week and I notice how close to each other they are sitting. They seem very close. They get up and show me the dance once before the camera crew get here. Once the crew get here they set up in the corner and they record me watching Joe and Dianne dance. They then call us up one by one to do a little talking for the camera. Dianne is called up and as she is talking I turn to look at Joe and notice he has only got eyes for her. I decide this is a good time to ask him what's going on between the two of them. 'Joe' I ask. He doesn't hear me and just keeps staring 'Joe' I say again a little louder gently tapping his shoulder. He turns his head and looks at me and I point at the back of the room. We both get up and go and sit against the wall.

'Joe what's going on between you guys' I ask. 'Nothing, we are just friends' he says. 'Who do you think your kidding Joe you can't keep your eyes off her.' He turns to look at me and says 'Honestly we are just friends' he says with a sad look on his face. 'Okay that may be true, but you want there to be something between you guys' I said looking at him. He turns his head looking back at Dianne not saying anything. After a few minutes he turns to look at me again and says 'of course I do, she is amazing' he says. 'Have you told her how you feel' I asked him. 'No, someone like her would never like someone like me' he says. 'What do you mean by that' I ask. 'Have you seen her she is gorgeous, has the most amazing sense of humour and personality and is an amazing dancer. Why would she like something like me.' 'Joe your amazing as well. The way you look at her she gives you the same look. You are constantly holding hands and cuddling you already act like a couple. Just tell her how you feel, you will never get what you want if you don't.' Joe didn't reply so we just sat in silence until Dianne came back over to us. She picked up the bag of chocolates and sat down next to Joe. 'One for me' she said placing a chocolate in her mouth 'and one for you' she says placing a chocolate in Joe's mouth then resting her head on Joe's shoulder. I turn to look at Joe and raise my eyebrows at him moving my eyes back and forth from him to Dianne. He just smiles back at me.

Joe's POV

The moment Dianne went to film her part of the VT for this week I knew I was going to be interrogated by my sister. I felt a gently tap on my shoulder and I turned to look at her and she pointed at the back of the room. I got up and went to sit with he against the wall. As soon as we sat down she started the interrogation 'Joe what's going on between you guys' she asked. I answered honestly and told her will where just friends even though I wished that we where more. She told me that she didn't believe me but again I told her we where just friends. When she told me that I wanted something more I considered lying to her but I knew my sister and I knew she would see through that straight away. I decided to tell her the truth instead. I told her how amazing Dianne but I knew she would never feel the same. She told me Dianne looked at me the same way I looked at her and that we basically act like a couple. She told me that if I didn't ask her then I would never get what I want. I didn't say anything back to her and just thought about what she said. Did Dianne feel the same. I guess the only way to find out would be to tell her.

Dianne's POV

Zoe seemed like such a lovely person. We sat down and had a little talk before i I was called up to film my part for the VT. We where in between takes when I looked over at Joe and Zoe and noticed they where in a pretty intense conversation. I wonder what they are talking about. I didn't have much time to wonder as I had to keep filming. I finished my part of the VT and walked back over to Joe and Zoe. I popped a chocolate in my mouth and then one in Joe before resting my head on his shoulder. I saw Zoe raise her eyebrow at Joe, I wonder what that was about. I decided I was going to ask Joe later once Zoe had left. We decided to break for lunch as Zoe had to get back to Brighton soon. We went to a little cafe and had a lovely lunch before Zoe said bye to both of us and we made our way back to the studio to carry on with training. When we got back to the hall I turned to Joe and said 'what where you and Zoe talking about earlier it looked pretty intense.' 'I'd rather not talk about it here, can we carry on with training and I'll tell you later' he said. 'Okay' I said finding it weird that he won't just tell me now. We carried on with training Joe improving during the afternoon.

Joe's POV

The rest of training had gone really well. I felt like I was really improving with this dance. Although I couldn't stop thinking about what Zoe had said. We sat down on the sofa changing out shoes getting ready to leave. 'You fancy coming round mine for dinner and maybe we can record a vlog as well.' 'Sure why not' she replied. I ordered an Uber and we made our way back to mine. We decided to order pizza and we both sat on the sofa waiting for it to turn up. Dianne turned to me and said 'are you going to tell me now what you and Zoe where talking about.' I looked her in the eyes and said 'Zoe thinks I like you as more then a friend.' She kept my eye contact and said 'do you.'  I decide to just be honest with her. 'Yes' I said.

Dianne's POV

We where sitting down on Joe's sofa waiting for the pizza to arrive. I decided that now was as good as a time to ask him what him and Zoe where talking about earlier. I was not expecting him to say what he did 'Zoe thinks I like you as more then a friend' he said. We stared into each other's eyes me expecting him to say something else. When he didn't I said 'do you' still looking into his eyes. 'Yes' he said before leaning forward and placing a kiss on my lips. He pulled back and looked into my eyes again 'I think your absolutely brilliant' he said 'and I would love nothing more then to take you out on a date.' Oh my god I thought to myself I can't believe he just asked me out. 'Yes' I said quietly before leaning forward and placing another kiss on his lips. The kiss started to get more passionate me shifting into his lap. I felt his tongue on my lips so I opened my mouth letting our tongues explore each other. After a few minutes we broke apart and we just stared at each other for a few minutes with massive smiles on our face. Joe pulled me into his side and we snuggled together watching some tv whilst we waited for dinner.

Joe's POV

I can't believe I actually told her. I felt confidence overtake me as we stared into each other's eyes and I leant forward and placed my lips on hers. I pulled away quickly looking back in her eyes. I decided to just go for it and I asked her out. It was quiet for a few seconds before I heard Dianne say yes before she placed a passionate kiss on my lips. She moved so she was straddling my lap and we continued kissing for a few minutes before we watched tv her snuggling into my side. I decided now was a good time as any to text Zoe.

Joe- Thanks you so much for your advice earlier
Zoe- so I guess it worked out well then 😉
Joe- I asked her out and she said yes 😁
Zoe- I'm so happy for you. What you up to now
Joe- We are just watching tv
Zoe- We. Does that mean she is still there.
Joe- Yeah. I'm gonna go speak to you tomorrow xx
Zoe- Have a good evening xx

I wrapped my arms around Dianne glad that I built up the courage to tell her how I felt. I really hope this works out between us I couldn't be more happy she is so amazing.
