Two weeks later I stand on the pier, wind blowing through my hair, staring out at the horizon. I take a deep breath, looking down at the water.

It starts to raise, as though I were a water bender in the movie Avatar. I make it swirl. Beautiful.

After the battle, Steven and I grew stronger, both of us getting more powers than ever before. And it keeps growing. My teleportation is wonderful, I could teleport to the moon if I wanted. I can lift a whole builing if I wanted to, using telekinesis. And I can listen to every person in the worlds thoughts. I control the elements, water, earth, fire, air. My shape-shifting takes less focus and I can do more.

It is wonderful.

I take the pills every day, and so far, Roger was right, they work.

I hear the familiar ting of someone teleporting behind me. "Hey Steven." I breathe out, continuing swirling the water. I begin to add fire, swirling the two around each other, the fire sizzling as it touches the water.

"You're getting better, I see." He says. I let it drop, turning. "So are you." I say. He nods. "Look... I know I was a jerk to you... and that you still love..." he drifts off and I look down. "We're together. Dan and I. He may have gone back to London, but I still love him." I say, looking back up at him. I can feel his pain.

That's another thing, I can feel his feelings, and his pain. We're connected.

"I think you already know how I feel about that." He says. I nod. "And I know how you feel." He says. "No hard feelings?" I ask. "No hard feelings." He confirms and we shake on it.

"Want to come on a walk with Astrid and I?" he asks. "Sure." I reply. He holds out a hand, I take it, and he teleports us away.

"They don't know. She doesn't know. He doesn't know... wow. They all don't know." Astrid says. We're walking through the park, and she's looking at every one as we walk by.

"They could." I say. "But they don't." Steven finishes. "It's so amazing." Astrid says, looking at the sky. I nod. "Puny human minds." I joke, smiling. "Hey!" she complains. "I'll have you know that Albert Einstein was a human and had a huge brain." She points out. "Yes but could he do this. I teleport from beside Steven to beside her, wrpping my arms around her.

She screeches, ending it in a laugh.

"Won't someone see you?" She asks. I shrug. "Not like anyone will believe them if they try to talk." I say.

Steven... Lyric... you guys gotta get down here. We stop and look at each other as Cara's voice intrudes into our thoughts. Astrid looks at us. "Let me guess... you've gotta go?" She looks between us. "Sorry, Astrid. It's Cara." I say. I hug her and she whispers in my ear "Keep him safe for me." I pull back, looking into her serious eyes. I nod.

I let go and and back up, watching as Steven gives her a hug. He pulls back and looks at me. He nods. I nod back.

"See ya Astrid." She nods too.

Okay... We must've all turned into bobble-heads or something. We should stop nodding so much.

I teleport away. I land in the Bunker with a thud, landing on 1 knee, hand outstretched in front of me, and I'm thankful for it as it balances me.

Steven lands beside me. I look up and slowly stand. I look at Steven.

Cara approaches. I look around the room in awe.

There is so many of them. Or rather... So many of us. My mind spreads, touching each of theirs.

"Amazing isn't it?" Cara asks. I walk toward the room and stop at the steps.I find that Steven followed me.

I stare out in the bunker. "Who are they all?" Steven asks. "Tomorrow People. Break-outs." I whisper. I feel his gaze on me. I keep my eyes on everyone, looking at all their faces, learning their stories. A few almost bring me to tears. They're all looking intently up at Steven and I.

"Who found them?" I ask, finally breaking my gaze and looking up at Cara. She looks at me, smiling. "They found us." She replies.

I look back at them. "Wow." Is all I can say.

"How did they-" Cara cuts Steven off, mid-sentence. "Whatever you two did at ULTRA set off some sort of telepathic homing beacon." They look at me. I put my hands up as if surrendering. "Don't look at me! I know I'm awesome with telepathy but I didn't do this. If I did... then I think I'd know." I say defensively. Steven turns back to Cara, then looks at everyone.

"They're from all over. They keep coming." Cara says softly. "That's great." Steven says. Then he whispers in Cara's ear, "Why are they all staring at Lyric and I?" I almost laugh. But I hold it back. Even so, Steven knows because of the connection.

Cara looks between each of us. "Because you guys are their leaders." She answers. We both are taken aback. I can't lead. Oh gosh. "They're here for you two." she finishes.

Steven looks at me, I look at him. Then we both look at the group. He holds out a hand. I take it, and we step forward.

In that moment, all the worry about the past, Johns lack of powers, leading this group.... everything fades.

"We're in this together." I say. "And no one can break us." He finishes.

He turns, extending a hand to Cara. She steps forward, taking it. "For us." She says. Suddenly, I feel another hand on my other side. "For us." Russell says, smirking. I laugh. "That was supposed to be a deep and serious moment, Russell. You had to go and make it not serious with that stupid colourful jacket." I say. "Hey! I'll have you know that this jacket has swag!" He protests. "You keep believing that." I roll my eyes.

"It's good to have you back, Russell." Cara says. "Really?" He asks. In that moment I remember how he was one of the ones who went on ULTRAs side for awhile. "Really." she confirmes.

We look out at all of them.

"We're gonna need a bigger lair." Steven says.

In that moment, I can only laugh.
