Chapter 5

Luna's POV

Sabado ngayon kaya nandito lang ako sa bahay.Mamaya pang gabi ang trabaho ko so I got the whole day to myself.Nasa porch ako ngayon nagbabasa ng libro when my phone rang.Kinuha ko iyon and I saw that it was an unkown number but still,I answered it.

"Who's this?"

"Hi Luna!Si Frida ito."

"Where did you get my number?" I asked, with  a little annoyance.

"Hiningi ko sa principal kahapon." I was annoyed to be honest.Ganun ganun lang?Ibibigay lang ng school yung information mo sa isang tao?That is bullshit.

"Sorry if ganun ko nakuha.Alam ko kasi na kapag tinanong kita hindi mo ibibigay." I let out a huge sigh.

"It's fine.Why did you call me anyways?"

"Are you free today?" 

"Erm.No.I have...stuff...to do." I lied. Tumunog ang intercom namin kaya tumayo ako at sinagot ko iyon.

"Ma'am Luna.Nandito po yung kaibigan niyo.Frida daw po pangalan." Shit.Now she even knows my address.I ended the call at lumabas.I saw her standing behind our gate with a huge smile plastered on her face.Okay, I hate her again.

"Sige po kuya papasukin mo na." Binuksan ng guwardiya namin ang gate at pinapasok siya.

"What?They gave you my address too?" I asked sarcastically.

"I wish but unfortunately no.Zander told me." Ugh.I heard his name again.

"Ano?!"

"Paulit ulit te?Oo nga binigay niya saakin address mo.Nasa iisang subdivision lang pala kayo." I just shooked my head.I composed myself for a few seconds.

"Okay.Let's go in." Sabi ko sakanya at sinundan niya ako papasok sa bahay namin.Kita ko na manghang mangha si Frida sa bahay namin but I don't.No matter how big or fully furnished this house is, I could never call it a home.

"Hindi mo sinasabi ganito pala kagara ang bahay niyo ah?!" I was just silent.Umupo ako sa isang couch sa foyer namin.Ganoon din si Frida.Her eyes roamed around the house at hinayaan ko lang naman siya.Kinuha ko ang isang maliit na bell sa side table at pinatunog iyon.In a swift seconds, dumating ang isa naming maid.

"Paprepare naman po ng snacks, ate"

"Sure Ma'am Luna.May paparequest po kayo?" I looked at Frida.

"May gusto ka ba?"

"Kahit ano nalang po, okay lang saakin." Sabi niya.

"I want cookies and peanut butter.We'll be down by the pool okay?" 

"Yes po." Umalis na ang yaya namin at nagpasya kami ni Frida na pumunta sa pool.She dipped her feet into the pool and I did the same.Medyo mainit ang tubig kaya it was a nice feeling.Tinalsikan naman ako ni Frida ng kaunting tubig at tinalsikan ko din siya.We both laughed.

"Sorry ulit Luna.I really just want to be friends with you you know?"

"It's okay." I said and smiled at her.

"Kwentuhan mo naman ako tungkol sayo!" Sabi niya saakin.I paused for a moment then I sighed.

"Well, I'm just me.Luna.Nothing's interesting about me really."

"Hindi ako naniniwala."

"Totoo nga.Wala akong maikekwento sayo."

"Everyone's got a story to tell, Luna.Whether it's bad or good." I was silent.Me?Have a story?That's not possible.A lot of things happened in my life and It's not a story to tell or to brag about.
