The smell of burgers and fries inflated my nose as I ambled inside the restaurant. People were chatting with their spouses/friends, minding their own business.

My eyes painted into big hearts as I clutched my hands together. "Amazing! I've never been to a normal burger shop with normal friends!!" I exclaimed rather loudly.

Ymir gave me a pointed expression, "You haven't?" Her eyes narrowed suspiciously which caused me to get flustered.

Dammit! I can't believe I already slipped up
I have to keep my privileged life a secret

"Haha! Just kidding—I have never been to this burger joint is what I meant" I tried playing it off, sweat rolling down my forehead. Nobody could know, or else they'll think differently of me. It didn't feel good to lie though, but I had no choice.

"Right.." She stretched her words long, like she was still suspecting me to lie. I turned around and basically ran inside, leaving all of my new friends dumbfounded at the entrance.

"Well, okay then. Let's eat!!" Sasha bounced her way forward. Marco smiled happily and linked arms with Jean as they trotted forward, Jean all embarrassed about the proximity.

"Come on Ymir, I'm starving for some food here!" Historia gave the taller female a closed eyed smile, hands behind her back as she joined the queue.

I pretended not to see the glare Ymir was wearing while Connie dragged her towards us. I bit my lip, I couldn't slip up again. Even if the other didn't notice, if I kept spouting nonsense about my upbringing—they'd definitely suspect something.

After a few minutes, we all got to order food and sat down by a long table with our trays. I pretended to know what I was doing and ordered a regular burger.

I can't believe I haven't even eaten a normal burger at a normal food shop before...

I tried pushing those thoughts away as I took a huge bite of my burger.

"Did you like it Y/n?" Historia asked from next to me.

I swallowed down before my eyes turned into hearts yet again. "Ah I loved it!" I immediately took another bite, munching down my food in an improper manner.

"Wow, you sure don't eat like a lady~" Jean teased, trying to put on a British accent.

I was too much in food heaven to even register his claim when Connie started devouring his food like a madman as well. Jean scrunched his nose in disgust.

"I'm surrounded by freaks"

Historia started giggling at his reclaim, "Aw come on, be nice Jean" She said with her angelic voice. I looked up from my food with admiring eyes.

"Why are you so pure?" I stated with a clenched fist.

"Here I go!!" Suddenly, Sasha declared and started eating her three burgers at the same time. Stopping everyone from what they were doing to stare at her.

Damn...and I thought I ate like a pig

"Sasha! Can you stop doing that?! You're getting food all over me!" Jean yelled quite irritated since he was sitting between Connie and Sasha.

I started laughing with Historia, Marco also chuckling next to me.

"You are all soo extra" I wiped my eyes.

"You can say that again" Historia gave me a big smile, causing my heart to burst. Like, how could somebody be so perfect and pure?! It was like there existed no bad cells in her body
