After a good ten minutes, I managed to calm down. I could feel my chest lighten and the shadows of the room not so overbearing. Eren sat by my side all the while I tried to quiet down, I was so surprised by this side of him. But I kept reminding myself that I've seen it before. I just kept forgetting, especially since he has ignored me for two whole months. Not like I did anything to converse him either...

"Are you better?" He asked again. We were still sitting on the floor like idiots asking to get a cold.

"Yeah...it helps with your flashlight on. B-But please don't make me walk out in the hallway by myself" I was still pretty shaken up and I didn't care if I and Eren were rivals at this moment. I could not handle another round of these panic attacks.

Eren glimpsed at me, giving me a tranquil nod. "You can stay here all you like, I didn't mean to pressure you earlier" His gaze faded back to his lap, eyes narrowing more wistfully. "I just thought you'd rather stay with your friends...you helped me with all you could and I appreciate that" Eren murmured, the flashlight from his phone reflecting his teal orbs.

I felt inner turmoil distributing my body. What the hell was I even doing? I shouldn't have come here, but he had nobody else. I guess, I felt kinda bad. But I was happy that Eren appreciated my effort. Although I didn't do much.

"Eren, I wouldn't just leave you here by yourself all injured. I don't hate you that much" I squeezed in a small laugh, sending him a light smile. I knew where our relationship stood, but Eren had protected me and I had to return the favor somehow.

We despised each other, but we kept civil respect.

"Yeah, I guess I would do the same.." He said, not looking at me.

"Of course you would. You helped me at my most critical point in life, you don't exactly strike me as a selfish person" I claimed, but quickly shut my mouth. I wasn't going to alter his ego even more!

Of course, my phone started blowing up again. "Dammit," I groaned and picked up. "What is it?"

"Y/n, where the hell are you?!" Sasha was screaming from the other side.

I put the phone on speaker so Eren could hear and not feel left out. "I texted Jean I'd meet you guys soon, gosh I'm not dead" I rolled my eyes with annoyance.

"You've been gone for like 30 minutes girl! We're worried about you—hey wait!" Sasha's voice vanished as another voice took place.

"Y/n, fucking finally you decided to answer. Where the hell are you? We've been waiting for you at the cafeteria, the power is off so our phones are going to die soon" Jean started this long ramble and I sighed. Gosh, they were acting like I had run away or something.

"Jean, I told you I went to the bathroom. Can't a girl get her space?!" I yelled.

"Historia already went to look for you in the bathroom!" Jean retaliated, causing my blood to freeze. Fuck, how would I explain myself out of this situation?

I started laughing awkwardly instead, "Yeah I'm not there right now...I just needed some space to relax" I bit my lip, they couldn't find out that I was with Eren. I would be in so much trouble. Not the less that we were in two different groups and I wasn't supposed to interact with Eren. Not like I had any desire too.

"Oh, are you alright? Are you by yourself?" Jean asked with a more mild voice, I and Eren gave each other an urgent expression. If Jean found out where I was, Eren would be just as fucked as me.
