Trigger warning: mentions abuse/abuse and suicidal thoughts/actions (not graphic)

Today has been a pretty boring. Life has been pretty boring actually. School is slow, May was out of town so I have the apartment to himself, and crime hasn't been as bad as normal. Not that I'm complaining. That's a good thing.

Flash hasn't been to school in almost a week and he started being a little bit more nice to me.

Which was also concerning but I decided not to question it and enjoy it while it lasted.

Little did I know, I should've questioned it...

I was currently sitting on the top of a building eating a churro while doing my nightly patrol. I need a change of scenery so I swing over to a different rooftop where I spot a figure on a building who looked familiar. It sounded like they are crying.

"Karen do you think I should check on the person that's on the building over there?" I ask.

"I don't see why not, would you like to hear a pro and con list of what could possibly happen if you do?" The AI asks.

"No thanks,"

"Is everything alright?" I ask when I approach the person who is sitting by the ledge of the rooftop.

Wait a minute, I knew him.

Was that flash?

"P-please don't, just go away," Flash says not looking up.

"But I want to help you,"

Flash looks up, and his eyes go wide when he realizes it's me- well not me me but Spider-Man.

"Oh, M-Mr. Spider sir, what are you doing here sir?" Flash asks and rubs his eyes to wipe away the tears.

"Helping you," I respond and sit myself next to him.

"I don't need help. You can stop something more important," Flash says while shooing me off.

"Well you're in luck because according to Karen, there's no crime going on. There actually hasn't been any for the past hour, so mind explaining to me what you're doing crying on a rooftop?" I ask.

"Well, um, I live here and I am currently re thinking things," Flash responds.

"What things?" I ask.

"Life," Flash says and looks up at the sky.

"Why?" I ask, hoping I'm not pushing too far.

"First of all, everybody at school hates me. And you can't tell me otherwise because you don't know me. I can't blame them though, I deserve it. My dad left a few years ago, and my moms new boyfriend is a no good mother fucking asshole and it's just hard, I have no one right now- okay that's a lie I have my little sister but I don't want her to think I am weak. Did I mention I'm a failure?" Flash asks.

"Not that you are weak, but why won't you want your sister thinking you are?" I ask.

"I'm always trying to protect her and make sure she doesn't get hurt and I just want to be someone she can look up to,"
