If there was one thing Peter hated, it was silent car rides. They've been in the car for the past 15 minutes nobody's said a word. Peter could tell Pepper was mad but he couldn't if it was at him or what happened and he wanted to find out.
"Mom please just say something," Peter practically begged which broke Peppers heart.
She wasn't mad at Peter, she was furious at the fact that somebody hurt her son.
Pepper sighs and looks at Peter then switches her focus back to the road, "Why didn't you tell me that this was going on,"
"I just... didn't want you to think that I couldn't take care of myself,"
"Look sweetie I get it, you want to be independent and take care of yourself. And you think that you can take on anything. Just like your dad. But when somebody is hurting you, you have to tell me,"
"I'm sorry," Peter said quietly.
Pepper looks at Peter with sympathy in her eyes, "You don't have anything to apologize for. I just don't get why you were letting him pick on you like that. It's okay need to stand up for yourself,"
"I just..." Peter pauses to think of something but he can't say anything without exposing his secret, "can't,"
"Why can't you just tell me what's going on so that I can understand we can figure it out together,"
"Because mom, I have secrets okay," Peter shouts but regrets it, he hated yelling.
"Everybody has secrets,"
"But my secret can hurt the people that I love. And that includes you and dad and if something happened to you guys I don't know if I would be able to live with myself,"
Pepper is taken aback, she knew that her son has lost a lot but she never thought about what would happen if something happened to her or Tony but there was no way that she was leaving her kid, "Well it's a good thing I'm not going anywhere. I'm sticking around kiddo, wether you like it or not,"
"I am" Peter takes a deep breath.
"Spider-Man,"
Wow this is short but I need to post so yeah. Sorry for not being active I was going to edit a lot today but I don't have any WiFi at my new house yet so that sucks.
