Spencer cursed as he tripped over a can. So much for professionalism while he was chasing down an unsub.
The unsub who is known as Denver Jones has set over over 100 fires over the course of 3 years. He would brand the victims on their foot with a cross claiming the victims were sinners and they needed god. The bau managed to catch the unsubs pattern and found he was in Queen's and they were right.
Fast forward to now, where Spencer fell on his face because he was chasing this guy for over 10 miles.
Spencer reached for his gun, jumped to his feet and ran further down the alley. "JJ please tell me you have him," Spencer said into his intercom.
"Spence, we lost him." JJ replied, Spencer hated hearing the disappointment in her voice. "I am not giving up that easy"
"Stop right there!" An unfamiliar figure in a red and blue onesie shouted as he cornered their suspect in an alley where there was no escape.
"This is an FBI investigation, do not interfere!" Spencer shouts as he approaches them.
The person did not listen. Instead they shot what appeared to be a clear silly string at the unsub.
"That is not going to do anything-" Spencer starts to say. He interrupts himself with an over dramatic gasp when the unsub sticks to the wall!
"Reid do you have him?" Morgan's voice says into the intercom.
"Yes,"
Spider-man takes a breath and turns to Spencer, "Actually Spencer, I have him,"
Spencer looks at him in shock and confusion, "How do you know my name, who the hell are you?"
"I heard your friend call you Spence when you were talking to JJ, I have enhanced hearing," Spider-man explains.
"Because that makes everything much clearer," Spencer says sarcastically.
"Do you not know who I am?" Spiderman asks.
"Should I?"
Even through the mask you can see Spider-man's shock.
"You are not from around here are you?"
"Not that it is relevant but I am from Quantico. Please move out of the way so I can arrest Jones," Spencer says. The team was probably wondering where he was by now.
"Why do you get to make the arrest? I have been tracking this guy down too," Spiderman asks with his arms crossed.
"Because I am with the FBI and I was the one who chased down Jones for over 10 miles,"
"I have been chasing Jones down too. You didn't see me because I was on the roofs"
"Who is your striped friend, pretty boy?" Morgan asks when he, JJ and Rossi and hotch find them.
"Spider-man is not my friend, Morgan. He is interfering with the case." Spencer says he hates it when Morgan calls him 'pretty boy' when they are in the field.
"Is someone going to arrest me? Spider-man and "pretty boy" have been bickering for 10 minutes," Denver says.
"Hold up, how are you stuck to a wall?" Morgan asks.
"From my web shooters," Spider-man says pointing at his wrists.
Morgan sighs, "I am not going to ask any more questions because I doubt there is a logical explanation to all of this,"
"Did you make those yourself?" Spencer asks.
Spider-man shakes his head, "No, the cobwebs are a part of me. I am part spider,"
Everybody looks at Spider-man in shock and confusion.
Spider-man laughs, "I am kidding. My guy in the chair and I make my web shooters in my lab. You should have seen the look on your faces,"
"Oh," Spencer says, for a genius he sure felt gullible.
"Are you not at all fascinated about this, Reid?" Rossi asks.
"Yeah, usually you would be geeking out about this and asking the poor kid a million questions," JJ says.
"We are on a case! I have to be professional," Spencer says.
"I am not a kid,I am in high school." Spider-man wines.
"Are we going to arrest Jones? You guys can bicker at the police station when we bring him in for questioning," Hotchner asks.
"Care to do the honors, pretty boy?" Spider-man asks.
"Only Morgan can call me pretty boy," Spencer says as he cuts Denver Jones down from the wall with a pair of scissors that he just so happened to have on him.
"By the way this web formula is excellent. Very impressive, especially for a kid in high school" Spencer says.
Spider-man freezes, "You remember that?"
Spencer hands Denver to Hotch, "Yep, I have an eidetic memory,"
"That's cool, how high is your IQ?"
"I have an IQ of 187 and I can read 20,000 words per minute. What is your IQ?"
"145," Spider-man says, clearly proud of himself.
"Oh my god there are two of him!" Rossi whispers to JJ.
"Because one was not already enough," JJ whispers back.
"Thank you for your help, Spider-man but my team and I should get going," Hotchner says.
"Always a pleasure. Nice meeting you guys," Spider-man says with a nod, "My aunt is making spaghetti tonight, so I should probably get going."
"I will probably see you the next time we have a case in queens," Spencer says.
"Probably not, I usually take care of everything here," Spider-man says.
"Then why did we have to do your job for you?" Spencer asks while putting his gun on his belt.
Morgan and JJ laugh, "Pretty boy do not get snappy on Spider-Man. He is doing the best he can," Morgan says, Spencer probably is low on coffee today. That is usually what causes Spencer's sassiness.
"I need coffee, you know how I get without it." Spencer says.
"I am off, I do accept your apology by the way," Spider-man says, then he shoots a web at the building.
"I was kidding!" Spencer shouts at him.
"Sure you were pretty boy," Spider-man shouts back.
I felt inspired to write for once and I had a lot of free time. I am proud of me :) This is a criminal minds crossover btw because I am on season 9 and it is amazing! Spencer reid just hits different ya know?
