Kyle's POV
My eyes open and groan slightly at the blinding light shining through my window. I hear a faint - barely audible - sigh and I look down at Mel. She seems so peaceful resting her head on my bare chest. One of her hands are flat on my chest with my hand on top, and around her. Her other arm is wrapped around my torso, I smile.

With my free hand I brush her bangs out of her closed eyes. She scrunches up her face for a tenth of a second, then falling back soundly to sleep. I smile, tracing her facial features with my thumb. I use y thumb to brush passed her perfect angled eyebrows, then her faint cheekbones I furrow my eyebrows when I notice a slight dip in her cheek. Is that a dimple I see? I smile cockily gently brushing to and fro across the slight dimple with my thumb. She moans faintly and I smile widely.

My eyes open wide and I furrow my eyebrows.

I ignore it. I slowly close my eyes-

I groan and slowly lift my hand off Mel's, I move a inch away from Mel at a time until I'm not touching her. She muffles something opening her eyes and goes back to bed, without another sound. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and got of the bed.

Buzzz

"Where are you..." I mumble to myself. "Where are you, you damn phone." I look under the bed and on my bedside table when I see it.

"Ah!" I pick it off the floor on Mel's side of the bed. I flip it over checking the screen.

YOU HAVE ONE UNREAD MESSAGE.

"Yeah, no shit Sherlock." I scoff, I swipe the screen and I groan at her password. "Fuck." I scratch the back of my head, confused.

What could her password be? (It's not one of those pin locks, it's a typing one). I try typing her name, wrong. I type her mums name, wrong. I try her dad's, wrong. I try Conrad's reluctantly, I sigh of relief when it was wrong. A smirk played it's was across my face.

K-Y-L-E, I typed. IT UNLOCKED! I quickly yelled a yes as her iPhone brought me to her homepage. I clicked messages and my jaw dropped.

What does this bastard want now? He goes and tries to impersonate me, and kisses Mel knowing she's dating me. Now he's texting her asking her on a date?!

I scoff. "Some nerve that guy has!" I cover my mouth but it's too late. Melody eyes flutter open and I'm the first thing she sees. Her eyes trail down to her phone in my hand. "Kyle..."

"Why is Conrad asking you on a date?" I say bluntly.

"What..." She says barely above a whisper. She starts getting up and off the bed. She walks to me and holds out her hand. I dump her phone on her palm.

"Tell me Melody." I say warningly. her eyes meet mine and furrows her eyebrows. She reads the text and a shocked expression materialises over her face.

"I don't know...." She starts to say but then it changes sudden realisation. "Shit!" She covers her mouth with her hand, wide eyed and staring off into space.

"What Mel?" I say.

"Conrad...he asked me out," I give her a no shit expression. "No.. I mean before I was dating you I was at the park with him and he asked me on a date with him. I said yes at the time because I didn't know that well at the time and I never thought that you actually liked me." She bits her lower lip and I can't help but just stare at her lips. She notices and gives me a look.

"Sorry." I look away, my face flushes."Now what?" I say releasing the tension.

"I want about to ask you the same thing." She answers.
"You can go if you like..." I grab my left elbow in my right hand, shrugging. "I mean if it means he'll back off."

It aches me I say this because I know that I'm just letting her go to Conrad as if we were never a thing. But as much as it pains me to say that I need to let her know that I'm not the jealous type. I'll just be calm and accept. Because the more you restrain the girl the more your drifting apart. "You can go."

"What?" She looks at me as though I grew another head. "Your just letting me go on a date with someone, whilst I'm in a relationship with you?"

I shrug, "I know you won't do anything stupid, I trust you."
"Kyle! You know Conrad. He'll try anything to get me. And your just letting me go on a date with him!" She starts to yell, I take a deep breath cooling my nerves.

"It's fine. I know you won't do anything that could - well - jeopardise our relationship so why should I worry?" I ask.

She gives me a thoughtful look, staring me straight in the eyes, "So your not at all jealous? Or at least want to punch him?" I shake my head and hold her shoulders giving her a reinsuring squeeze.

"No, I'm not the jealous type Mel." I lean in to kiss her but she stops me.

"What?! Your not at all jealous of him asking out your girlfriend?"

"As long as he doesn't kiss you and you still love me, that's all I care about." I smile and she returns with a crooked one. "I love you,"

"Love you too." She stares into my eyes as if to see a trace of unsureness. "I should get going. My parents must be wondering where I am."

I nod, she kisses me and walks out the door. I bit my lower lip, staring at her as she walks out the door. She looks back at me before walking around and gives me one last smile before closing the door behind her.

Oh Damn. Let's hope by doing this I'm not just pushing her away and letting her fall into Conrad's arms. I don't know what I'd do if that would happen...

Sorry, Short chapter. I know, sorry! I jut have sooo much going on in my life right now. Ahhh. Like homework that I haven't done. And is dueeeeee. Also, I need time to read people! Ahhh I have about 5 books that I WANT to finish in 11 days. So far I've read two.

I started reading one of the five on the 10th and I'm hoping I finish all of them on the 22nd. I read one in ONE DAY!! (300+pages) CAN I GET A WOOP WOOP?!?!?!?!?!?!

😁 I'm so happy tho. But I've beeeennn staying up till 12 to read .-.

Oh well. Anyways. Bye!
