Chapter Thirty Nine

Third Person's POV

"Don't let yourself fall for me, again."

Jimin felt like his heart got stab and drop his arms from holding the other male. He took a step backward, eyes filled with sadness, shining with tears. Jungkook swallowed the lump in his throat, clenching his jaw as he started to walk away.

Jimin blinked his tears away as he stares at the other male's back with questioning gaze.

Why not Jungkook?

Next day...

Jimin hurriedly went outside his room and followed Taehyung. He doesn't want to be left out but he was in the middle of changing his clothes when Taehyung knock at his door and informed him that they will be having breakfast together. Jimin's face lit-up as he spotted the two and sped up his steps, trying to keep up with them.

"You know what, I can't understand why you always asked me to do it." Taehyung asked the other male, "Why can't you invite him to come over?" Taehyung questioned his friend completely confused. Taehyung couldn't point out the answer to why Jungkook always asked him to do things for Jimin.

"You worried about him yet you always ask people around you to do it, you two are close now why are you hesitating?" Taehyung asked again.

"I'm just being careful." Jungkook replied and Taehyung furrowed his brows, "Careful of what?" Jungkook's expression fell down.

"I don't want him to misunderstood my actions." He mumbled. Taehyung fell silent for a moment and then shake his head. This is so confusing, he thought.

"So it's okay if he misunderstood mine?" Taehyung joked. Jungkook smirked and then look over him with a pointed look.

"Jimin won't fall for you so don't worry." He says tone mocking, Taehyung face scrunched up and then punches the other male playfully.

Jimin stopped in his track eyes not leaving the two with sad eyes. So the reason why he always hesitant around me, asking people to look after me, was because he's afraid I might misunderstood everything and eventually fall for him? So he really made it clear right from the start, Jimin thought bitterly.

Why are you so harsh to me, Jungkook? Don't we all deserve a second chance?

They are heading back to Seoul today but before that they granted Jimin's wish to go to Ulsan Grand Park because the smaller male heard that the said place has a beautiful garden and he was dying to visit it.
