“Dude, don’t outcast yourself. Masyado kang maraming iniisip. Why don’t you chill out. Nasan na ang western blood natin jan? You’re a dick dude.” He was absolutely bluffing. I was pretending to be ‘not on the mood’ just to stalk (a little bit) of that girl a saw yesterday. But I don’t want them to know yet. I’m just having a crush and I don’t wanna overreact on this.

“I’m not a dick! I’m just maintaining a low profile. So please pabayaan nyo na ako.” Umiling lang si Aiden. Alam kong di niya ako tatantanan.

Yet I am totally in to that unnamed girl. I should talk to her soon.

So not happening. It turned out, sinagot niya ang lalake. And that guy has a f*ckingly unconventional-and-appealing-in-a-trying-hard-way name, Cash! It’s an acronym for Charles etcetera. I just heard from someone yelling his name.

“Bakit parang nakabusangot ka these days dude?” puna ni Aiden na lagi naman.

“Nah, wala lang sa mood.” I was actually looking at that Cash guy with that unnamed girl. I need to know her name at least?

“Bro, kilala mo ba yun?” I pointed on the couple eating their lunch.

“Sino? Si Cash?” sagot ni Aiden. Ayokong malaman niya na I am secretly brokenhearted.

“Yep, he looks familiar. So, he seems to have a girlfriend now?”

“Dude, don’t tell me! You’re ---- into him?!” he was unbelievably shocked. And his theories are unbelievable. Maybe I’m not good in pretending.   

“Fvck you dude! Of course not!” binawi ko sa kanya ang softdrinks na hiningi niya sakin. Never mind the name. I’m over her.

“Fine. Chill. That guy got the kill dude! He got the girl everyone’s dreaming of. Scarlet del Castillo.” everyone's dreaming of? What's with her? She looks normal, I mean, mas marami pang mas maganda at sexy sa kanya. Then I glanced her way, yeah, there's really something about her.

“Hey Pat. Someone’s here for you.” Tawag ng kuya ko. Lumabas ako ng bahay dahil nandito na ata ang hinihintay ko.

Siya nga, nilibot niya ang tingin niya sa buong bahay at napabaling narin sakin pagkalabas ko. Dinampot ko ang apat na soccer balls na binalot sa net at lumapit sa kanya.

“Ikaw ba si Patrick Montero?” he seems stunned. Tumango ako at nakipagkamayan.

“Surprised you’re younger than me. By the way, ako nga pala si William. Nabanggit ng coach namin na magsosponsor ka raw ng mga soccer balls, salamat bro ah. Kailangan talaga namin.” Yeah, he’s Scarlet’s brother. I need to make connections, kung may isang bagay akong natutunan sa pagsama-sama kay daddy sa mga lakad niya, it is to make connections.

Ganun nga ang nangyari kaya mas naging magkadikit kami ng kuya niya. Medyo magulo nga lang pag magkasama kami dahil maraming naghahabol sa kanya. And he wants them to chase him. Sometimes, he acts like a total a**hole.

“You like my sister don’t you?” isang araw sa school ground.

I can’t seem to know how he knows, yeah, I know it’s obvious but at least I was trying my best not make him notice my affection towards his sister. As much as possible, ayokong isiping ginagamit ko lang siya dahil sa attraction ko sa kapatid niya. Yeah right, at first yun ang iniisip ko, but I realized he’s too cool for that.

“Sus, wag ka nang tumanggi. Lagi ka nalang nagtatanong ng kung anong bagay tungkol sa kanya. Plus you always have that freakingly obvious side glances. Alam na bro.” napangisi nalang ako kahit nakakahiya. Pero bakit halos lahat ng tao nakakahalatang may gusto ako sa kanya, except her. Manhid ba siya?
