Chapter 7- Secrets and mystery

I left the house about 2 hours ago and now it is 7:30.

“I need to get home” I say to Gabriel.

The first day my mom goes away she usually calls the house around eight tot check up on me. If I’m not there….well let’s just say it isn’t pretty.

“Same time tomorrow?” he asks.

“Can’t. Football game tomorrow.” I answer.

“Oh yeah. But you don’t seem like the girl that goes to games.”

“I’m not. But my friends are and I promised I’d go.”

“Oh okay. Well I’ll see you in school tomorrow.”

It turns out that Gabriel is one of the new boys Layla and Kat were drooling about this morning.

I skate home and grab a house phone so that if the phone rings I’ll be able to able to pick it up right away.
About 5 minutes later, the phone rings.

“Hi mom.” I say into it.

“Hi sweet heart. I’m sorry I’m had to make this last minute trip.”

“It’s alright mom, I’m used to it already.”

“I should be back for your birthday.”

“A month and a half mom! My birthday is in july! That long?"

“I’m afraid so. A lot of work needs to be done here I’m sorry.”

My mom usually goes away for two or three weeks comes home for a little and hen goes back never more then that!

I sigh.

“It’s okay.”

“But I got you the cutest gift. I just super mailed it. You should get it tonight.”

“Oh you didn’t have to buy me anything.”

“I didn’t!  It was the weirdest thing! A lady comes up to me in the streets of Athens and hands me a necklace saying, ‘Your daughter must have this’ “

 “That is weird. Well thank you anyways.”

‘Well honey its really late for me.” She says.

More like early.
“So, goodnight.” She finishes.

“Good night mom. I love you.”

I hang up the phone and go to my room.

Wait if Gabriel is one of the new guys that means he knows Blaine!

**BLAINE**

I walk into my fathers office.

"Is everything okay dad?" I ask.

He is standing by the window which overlooks the street.

"There is something we need to talk about he says, not turning around.

I sit by his desk.

"Which is?"

My father goes and sits down at his desk.

"There is something we need to discuss."

"Yes I kinda got that already." I say rudely.

"The reason we sent you to that human schoo is not because we didn't want you in the pack school its beacuse there is a new pack in town."

"So what?"

"Who has no Alpha."

"How is that even possible? Why didn't anyone step up. No kids?"

All my father replies is, "The Alpha is dead. We killed him sixteen years ago."
