Chapter 45- Presents and carnivals

**BLAINE**

Brooke and I go to our seperate classes.

She leaves me happy and smiling.

Brooke and I are special and I will do whatever it takes to show her and everyone that.

I walk into my chemistry class and sit down at my lab seat.

When the bell rings to begin class, the teacher walks in saying, "Today we will be doing a lab and working with partners."

The class room getts noisy and everyone begins to talk, but he quits them and continues talking, "I have already chosen your partners. Do not grumble or moan at who they are, I am not changing them. Listen for your name. Sara Levine and Tom Clark, Emily Coral and Karoline Stein, Blaine Silverpaw and Amy Taylor..."

I stop listening after I hear my name.

Amy comes to sit next to me and I mentally groan.

Great, now I have to deal with her?

Mr. Stewart hands out the lab and tells us to do the lab.

"Hey Blaine." Amy says with a sickenly sweet voice.

"Lets get to work." I say back rolling my eyes.

I reach for the paper but Amy stops me from taking it by grabbing my hand.

"Or we can pay the nerds next to us to do it and we can get to know each other better." She flirts.

I pull my hand away.

"I know enough. You are a slut, disgusting to everyone, and I'm never going to be with you."

"You don't mean that!"

"Actually I do." I pick up all my stuff and to Mr. Stewart I say, "I'm not feeling so great."

She bothers me so much, I just want to punch her in the face, even if she is a girl.

**BROOKE**

"You might say I'm a dreamer,

I'm not the only one."

As I listen to my music someone tugs on my earphones.

I look to see who the person was, only to see its Sadie Cable, someone in my class and a girl who is friends with Amy.

"What?" I ask, wanting to know the reason she inturrupted my music.

"Theo Cunnington is motioning for you to come outside." She tells me.

Theo?

I ask to go to the bathroom and go outside to see why he is here.

"What are you doing here?" I whisper.

"Your birthday present came!" He answers, not using the same hushed tone that I am speaking with.

"My birthday present?"

"Yes your birthday present. I know its early, but it came in the mail today, and I can't wait to give it you."

He hands me a box, that it looks like a ring box.

I open it up and there is a thick silver band with my name ingraved into it.

"Theo! I love it!" I squeal, as quietly as possible.
