Chapter 31- Heart break and modeling

**BLAINE**

"Blaine. Ella told me Brooke broke up with you." My mom says coming into my room.

 I am laying down on my bed reading a book for the finals.

"Are you okay?" She asks.

Am I okay? That's a good question.

"Yeah." I lie, putting down my book.

The truth is I feel like shit. My wolf longs for her, and like a human my teenage heart feels like it is dying. I love her and she doesn't love me back. My heart feels broken and I just want to be like a girl and cy it out of my system.

"Blaine she is your mate! And you are just a young boy. You probably feel broken." My mother exclaims. 

"I truly am fine Mother." I say stifly.

"I didn't want to have to tell you this but if she truly rejected you like you said, well then you can die."

WHAT? I can die? What does that mean I can die?

"Well I don't feel like I'm dying." I say picking up my book back up hinting to my mother to leave.

I hear her sigh and then leave the room.

The second she leaves the room I put my book down. What does she mean I can die? Sure I feel like I want to but those are just my teenage hormones and the fact that I love her.

A wave of loneliness passes hits me, and my chest begins to hurt. Suddenly a searing pain goes through my body. 

I drag myself out of bed and to my dad's office.

I pull out a book off of one of my father's bookshelves that is labeled Mates. I check through the table of contents and go to the section that says "Rejection and Death".

"AHA!" I let out.

I start to read.

"A mate is like your second half, the second part of your soul. When you meet he/she you feel complete and like you can do anything. If your mate dies whether it be in battle, murder, or suicide it is very hard to live on. Usually a werewolf will not die of natural causes and can really live forever so the affect of a mates death from natural causes is not the same. For an Alpha the pain of  and the death of your mate is multiplied tenfold. The Alpha would usually become a shell of what he was before. A regular werewolf would as well but not as badly. It could lead to madness, and could also lead to death. If it was murder the wolf/alpha would be over come with the need for vengeance and if suicide over come with grief.

If your mate rejects you it is usually the same fate. You die or become a shell of what you were. The hear break, and the wolf's longing is usually too much for people. Some are even driven insane. Most even lose the ability to use their wolves.

This really doesn't affect women as much as it does men."

Holy hit this is bad! Real bad.

"Layla and Kat we don't need to go shopping." I exclaim trying to convince them to turn around.

Not that I don't love shopping and spending money on my friends, its just right now I rather sleep. In fact originally I thought they were just my friends for my money but I came to realize that is blasphemy. They would never hang out with crazy me if it was just for my money.
