Chapter 92- Put A Smile On

"You've got to be kidding me. No way in hell is that a lie. Because if that was then you are some skilled liar man." Layla exclaims.

I just finished telling Layla everything about Blaine and I, the Silverpaw pack, the Secta pack, and most of all the war.

"Well thats not the reaction I expected, but still.... good more or less." I say frazzled by her response to my crazy story.

"Its so sweet, besides for the evil uncle dead dat thing." She says back, "Your story could be a book its so romantic!" (a/n ;) )

I laugh at her enthusiasum.

"What boggles me the most is how did Toby implant himself in our mind like that. I had thought I kissed my own cousin for god sake."

"Oh magic. So mysterious in its ways." I wave my hand dismissively in a joking way.

Layla and I burst in to laughter when we are interuppted by a doctor walking in.

"Miss Layla, I need to check for injuries and such now." The Doctor says.

I recognize him to be the doctor who cared for Blaine's fahter.

His hair looks dirty, and he as if he hasn't slept in days.

"Doctor Mantel, hello. How have you been?" I give him a smile because I think he needs one.

"I've been better, thank you for asking." He tries to smile back but I can tell it isn't sincere.

"Thank you for coming to see me but I have no injuries. I am just exahusted." Layla tells him.

"Are you sure?"

"Positive."

"You just saved me a whole lot of trouble." The doctor says appreciating that Layla is sending him away.

"Anytime."

Layla flashes him a smile before he leaves and then turns back to me.

"So what happens next?" She asks me, excitement glistening in her eyes.

For a person who didn't know werewolves exist, and just saw a werewolf war take place, Layla is pretty chilled out.

"For starters you swear to secrecy, and not tell anyone about this." I answer.

"Not even Theo or Kat?" She exclaims.

"Not even them."

She sighs.

"Fine. But what about for you? Your pack isn't all dead are they? Blaine's father is dead, and if I know my stories well, which I do, he's now Alpha."

I let out a sigh similar to the one Layla just let out.

"I know Layla. I have a lot of decisions to male. College, my pack, this pack....."

And I have to make them soon...

Mason's father informs me that in three hours we are having a funeral for my father.

"That is when you officially become the Alpha." He says.

I just nod, still numb with grief, and shock.
