Chapter 82- Stand Up For What You Believe In

"Its horrible! The complete opposite of what I told you to do!" Mary-Anne yells at Charlotte, "You painted a forest dead! The protect wast oshwo the world as it truly is, which should be with life, love and happiness. Not a dead forest!"

"I showed to the pollution of the world! Thats what I see in the world. Smoke and humans destroy all that is beautiful by dumping toxins into waters and burning down forests." Argues Charlotte.

She painted a forest that had burnt down with dark sky and dark paints.

In fact it is much better then mine.

I drew a very modern art painting. The figures are blunt and the colors are popping. The backround consists of a solid black color and in the centre there are two outlines of fish, drawn as a child would draw it in yellow with a red heart above them. This was to symbolize a few things. Love helps through darkness being one of them, there are many fish in the sea being another, and also the concept of love itself.

"Happy thoughs not depressing thoughts! Throw it away and start again." Mary-Anne finishes the yelling match and then goes to help or yell at someone else.

I look over at Charlotte's face to see her expression but all I see is a smirk and her continuing to paint.

"That was some pretty serious yelling match going on over there." I state fixing up little mistakes here and there on my painting.

"Eh, Ms. Stuck up is used to me by now I'm sure." Charlotte replies.

"Is she always like that?" I ask.

"Pretty much just with me. She doesn't like my vision." She explains.

"Well I think its amazing. You going to throw it out like Mary-Ane asked?

"She wishes! I worked my butt off on this and I am an artist, if you don't like my art then you don't have to look at it."

I shrug and continue on with my painting.

Mary-Anne really shouldn't have yelled at her the way she did. Its good she has the strength to stand up for what she believes in. Charlotte has the freedom to paint to paint what ever she pleases.

**BLAINE**

"Father she wll do us well. I am telling you! I believe in her." I tell my father.

He smiles at me weakly and douches my forehead with his hand.

"You will also do well my son." He says, "I have all my trust in you but go now. My head is fiddling me."

I leave the hospital room not really sure what that means.

Maybe I will go visit Ari...

As I make my way to her room I bump into Moll.

"Hey Molly, what are you doing here?" I ask, not expecting to see her here.

"Blaine! I thought Mase told you. I volunteer here now." She answers me.

"Thats great!" I smile at her, glad that she is doing a good deed.

"Yeah, I really love it here. It feels good to help people. Oh, which reminds me, before you Jake and the rest of the boys go patrolling are joining us for a barbeque?"

I think about it for a moment and then tell her I will be joining her before I continue on my way.

"See you later!" She calls after me.

I lift my hand in a small salute and disappear into Ari's room.

"BLAINE!" Mia runs to give me a hug when she see's me.

"Hey girlie" I pick her up and swing her around.

"Did you bring me more licorice?" She asks with hopeful eyes.

I laugh and return her to the solid ground.

"Not this time. Let me talk to mommy for a little and then I'll take you out for some ice cream okay?"

Mia nods and skips back to her dolls.

"How are you feeling?" I sit down next to Ari's bed.

"I've been better." Ari answers honestly, "I'm hoping for some fresh air. Mson said he'd come later today to take me to the garden."

"You like Mason, huh?"

Ari blushes.

"I am a twenty three year old woman, that would be inappropiate."

"Come on Ari, you can tell me! We're friends!" I attempt to goad her into telling me her true stories.

"We've just met!" Ari exclaims with a goofy grin on her face.

"Good to know you don't care about me enough to entrust your secrets in me." I pretend to wipe a tear.

"Fine." She gives in, "I do. I feel like we have a connection."

"He's legal!" I waggle my eyebrows suggestively.

Ari smacks my shoulder still smiling.

Mia tugs on my shirt.

"Can we go now?"

I stand up to take Mia and say one last thing to Ari, "Stand up for what you believe in. I know you love him."
