Chapter 89- Let The Battle Begin

**BLAINE**

"I'm going to shower." Brooke says wrapping her comforter around herself and walks into her bathroom.

I pick up my clothes from the floor and put them on as I think about what we just did.

She's mine now... fully mine.

"YOU BETTER NOT BE THINKING DITY THOUGHTS RIGHT NOW!" Brooke screams from the shower.

"NOW I AM!!!" I shout back teasing.

Theo's music is still playing loudly, which surprisingly didn't affect us at all because we just blocked it out, and I can hear every laughing and singing downstairs.

Making sure I look presentable in the mirror, I knock on the bathroom door to let Brooke know I'm going down for a drink even though I am really going downstairs so I am not tempted to undress again and join her in the shower.

"Hey! Your back!" Mason high-fives me as I return to the den.

"I am but you need to go home." I say to him using my Alpha voice.

I need him to take his post at the safe house with his sister.

Mason nods, his face becoming serious and understanding, then says goodbye to everyone.

"Where's Brooke? You two were up there for a very long time." Emily waggles her eyebrows suggestively.

"She'll be down soon." I reply, not telling them what went on upstairs, even though they'll find out sooner or later by doing the math when Brooke comes down from her shower.

"Turn this song up! Its ma JAM!" Rhianna shouts when Party Rock Anthem comes on, "DANCE WITH ME!"

Rhianna moves my hands for me as if I am a puppet and she is the puppet master.

As she makes me dance I try to get my hand back for long enough to see the time. When I see that its midnight I pull my arms out of Rhianna's grasps. Brooke and I need to go!

"Brooke and everyone who has known me since childhood, we need to leave."

Brooke who just came down the steps turns to ask, "Why?"

"We need to leave." I repeat with a stronger tone of voice, hoping that she'll get the drift.

At the sight of my mate, my heart aches because of our distance so I walk over to her and take her hand.

This need to always be touching is one of the outcome of us mating and now Brooke can never be apart from me and I can never be apart from her, for very long, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

"Ohh... OKAY!" She chirps, cathcing on, "Emily, Layla, Kat, and Theo, you can stay as long as you want but before you leave feed the cat."

"Bye!" They wave us off, not even questioning why we are leaving, "Happy birthday!"

When we get in to my car Brooke begins to hyperventilate. After driving for about ten minutes we get to the house, and I hide the car, running into the house with her as quickly as fugitives from a police.

"I'm not dressed for this! What if it doesn't work? I am so worried about you! What if you get hurt!" Clearly she completely understood what I was hinting to earlier beause she is completely freaking out.

She doesn't stop ramblign about how worried she is, and freaking out until I kiss her to shut her up. Which seemed to work perfectly because she is standing infront of me mutely, and wide eyed.

"Shut up and get dressed." I hand her a change of clothes my mother gave me to give to her.

My mother is safe with my father in the hospital, and both of them are being protected by my men. Also just in case the Secta pack decides to attack the hospital I have men on stand bye to go there and fight, and the doctor's are ready if they are needed as well, but only if its really needed.

The plan is beginning and so far its working.

I just hope that things will continue smoothly. Well, as smooth as a battle between two wolf packs can go.

**BROOKE**

I put on the black leggings and the tight purple sports shirt Blaine handed me with a light sports jacket and black flats.

How Blaine knew my size I don't even want to know...

Blaine begins to pace in his room and I sit on his bed watching him with intrest.

He mumbles things under his breath as he paces but I can't make them out.

 "Blaine!" I call.

When he doesn't reply I say his name again, "Blaine!"

This time he stops and looks up but not at me, "This would all be so much easier if my father was here."

"Thats what I said all my life." I say half to him, half to myself.

"Sorry... I didn't mean-"

"No its alright," I interrupt him before he can finish his sentance. "I wasn't traying to make you feel bad... But if I could do it all my life, then you can do it tonight."

Blaine walks up to me and kisses me on the lips; roughly, and with a lot of love.

"You are amazing, you know that?" He says to me with a tone of awe.

I smile, happy that I made him feel better.

"Alpha," A man runs into the room, "They're here.:

Blaine straightens his back and I get up from my seat quickly.

"Brooke, I need you to listen carefully." He says to me seriously, grabbing both of my hands, "This is your part in all of this. Leave your old clothing where they are, the scent will confuse them, and run. Just run as far as you can and don't let anyone stop you."

When I realize what he wants me to do, and that he wants me to run away.

"I'm not going to leave you to die. Its my pack, they'll listen to me!" I cry, holding his hands tight.

"You know they won't listen my love. That is why we are having this battle. I will be fine. I love you Brooke Maritto, now go."

He kisses my forehead and leaves the room.

That is when I start to run.

Out of the house. Past his neighbors.

I hear growls from afar and shut my eyes tight, knowing what I have to do.

**BLAINE**

I hear the growls of the wolves but don't peek over the ledge. Giving away our hiding spots is the last thing we need to do. Our scents are all over the place seeing this is where we live so they won't know exactly where we are hiding, but if I pop out of my hiding spot then they will know.

I trust Brooke has gotten to the safe house by now, or even out of the vicinity. Everything is going to work now.

"We are ready when you are." I hear Jake in my mind.

"You'll know when I'm ready." I reply.

We have wolves spred out all through out the rooftops of our homes, waiting to attack. They have the order to wait for my signal.

I want the Secta pack to think that they are in. I want them to think that this is going to be an easy win.

When I hear a wolf whistle in the house below me I let out the signal, a short yelp, and jump off from my hiding spot.

I land on a wolf who begins to thrash under me. Ripping out his throat, I look up to see wolves fighting against each other, my wolves.

"We're here Alpha," Jake messages me, "Don't worry."
