Tay's POV

To be honest, I did not want to be on this cruise. I preferred to spend my vacation on land, however, because my grandmother made this into an all-expenses paid vacation, I could not resist taking it.

I knew that my grandma had an ulterior motive for putting me on this cruise. She was trying to keep me away from what she judged to be "bad company". She thought that I was getting too serious with a girl whose family was involved in a scandal and my grandma did not want me to have anything to do with her.

Oh well... maybe I could find some exciting adventure on this cruise, who knows.

I checked my watch. I had overslept as usual.

I don't think I will be able to find any more breakfast at this time. I will have to wait until the dining hall opens for lunch.

In the meantime I will check out if I can find anything I like in the vending machine that I noticed standing in one corner of the foyer on this deck.

Bas' POV

That was one delicious breakfast that I just had.

I could not help approaching the sous chef to compliment him on the strawberry waffles that he had personally made.

"Your strawberry waffles were sinfully delicious," I said to him, "they made me forget that I should be watching my diet."

"My goal on this ship is to make all the passengers gain weight," he said with a loud laugh.

"You're so bad. By the way, my name is Bas," I said, extending my hands to him.

"Nice to meet you, Bas," he said, shaking my hand, "mine is White."

I liked his eyes. They were uniquely shaped, like lotus petals.

I wanted to say something more but there were other passengers waiting to be served by him so I had to move on.

"Are you here everyday?" I asked before moving away.

"Yes, all three meals of the day," he replied.

"See you later then, P'White," I said. I had to add the P' because I could tell he was older than me.

"Okay, Bas, see you later," he said, with a smile and a wave of his hand.

I took the elevator to the upper deck where my cabin was.

I was intending to video call my mom and my little sister to let them know that I was doing alright.

As I stepped out of the elevator after it reached my deck, I saw someone kicking the vending machine.

He turned around when he saw me stepping out of the elevator.

"This bloody machine just took my money but did not shell out the snack that I paid for," he said angrily to me.

"Why are you buying snacks from this machine when you can have a good breakfast downstairs?" I told him.

"You mean the breakfast room is still open?" he asked wide eyed.

"Yes," I replied, "I just came from there. But you better hurry because they are serving the last batch of passengers."

"Thanks for letting me know," he said, making a dash for it.

Tay's POV

In my hurry to get inside the Breakfast Room, I bumped hard into someone making him fall, with me on top of him.

Shit! My lips actually touched his!

I noticed him grimacing in pain.

I stood up quickly, helping him to stand up as well.

"I'm so sorry," I said, "are you alright?"

"I think so," he said with a shy smile.

I noticed him wiping his lips.

"And I'm sorry about kissing you as well," I said, "I didn't mean to. I'm not into kissing strangers."

"It was an accident," he said, "don't worry about it."

I extended my hand to him.

"My name is Tay," I said with an apologetic smile.

He took my hand and shook it lightly.

"Nice to meet you, Tay," he said, "my name is Tytan. You better hurry inside. They are serving the last batch of passengers."

"Okay," I said, "sorry again about what happened."

"No problem," he said before turning away.

I wondered if I would bump into him again. He seemed to be a nice person, someone who would be a good and trustworthy friend.

Tytan's POV

I tried my best to keep my composure after the accident that happened earlier.

Good god in heaven. I don't swing in that direction so why was my heart beating so fast.

From the brief encounter, I could tell that he was very good looking.

Those lips that touched mine... oh shit, what's wrong with me...

I actually wanted to feel those lips on mine again.

I shook my head vigorously to get the unwanted thought out of my brain.

I took the elevator to go up to where my cabin was.

When the elevator door opened, the person who stepped out approached me.

"Would you happen to have change for a five dollar bill?" he asked, "I need to break it down into one dollar bills so that I could buy something from the vending machine."

I took out my wallet from my back pocket and sorted through the paper bills inside.

"You're in luck," I said to him with a smile.
