Chanagun's POV

Even as Joss was talking to the other two guys at their table, I looked around for an empty one.

There was one close to the glass counter where the sous chef was handing out his breakfast special behind it.

I had not gone to him to get one because I wasn't much into sweet stuff.

I set my tray on the table that I found, and then soon after, Joss joined me.

I heard someone laughing out loud two tables away from me.

The guy was certainly good looking and he was well built and muscular to boot.

I wondered how many hours he spent at the gym. I thought of my own muscles and how they needed firming and toning. I should take time to visit the gym in this ship.

"Hey, do you know which deck the gym is located?" I asked Joss before taking a sip from my coffee cup.

"It's on the same deck where the infirmary is located," he replied.

"Have you been there before?" I asked.

"Not yet, but I checked it out already because I plan to go there after lunch later," he answered.

As an afterthought, he asked, "You wanna join me?"

"Sure," I replied, taking my phone out of my pocket and handing it to him.

"Can I have your number just in case either one of us can't make it?" I asked.

He took my phone and keyed in his number into it, then I tapped on the number to get my phone registered on his.

"You really should have tried the banana nut muffin," Joss said, taking a second bite from it, "it tastes heavenly."

"I'm not much into sweet stuff," I told him.

"But this one's not the sickly sweet kind of muffin," he informed me, "it's got just the right amount of sweetness. Here, take a bite."

I couldn't refuse because he was holding the muffin half an inch away from my lips.

I took a small bite and chewed slowly. He was right.

I stood up, forgetting to excuse myself from him, and went straight to the sous chef who was just about to turn away because the last passenger had just taken his banana nut muffin.

"Excuse me, Mr. sous chef," I called out to him and he turned around to look at me.

I tried not to get distracted by his eyes that were the perfect shape of lotus petals.

"Would you happen to have any more of your breakfast special?" I asked, smiling at him. I usually do not smile at people whom I had not met before.

"Sure," he answered enthusiastically, "I had been watching you when you first came in and noticed that you had ignored my breakfast special. What made you change your mind?"

"My table companion over there made me take a bite from his share and I got convinced that I should try it," I replied.

"Good decision," said Mr. Lotus Petals, handing me my banana nut muffin on a small plate.

"Thank you very much, sir," I said, smiling more broadly this time.

"Have a blast with it," he replied, smiling back at me.
