I'm cuddling with Shannon, in our bed... "can you hear?"  I ask her  "what?"  "nothing..it's amazing..no babies' cry...just the silence"  she chuckles  "yeah..it's like our little break"  I smile and kiss her  "we love a couple's moment"  she nuzzles her face into the crook of my neck  "mmm, we surely do". I graze her face  "they're gonna wake up very soon"  "I know..they'll claim us..for the food"  I giggle  "you're cynical"  "I'm just stating the obvious. growing up, they will need us just for the money and then for the car"  "Shannon"  i reply, laughing...she breathes into my neck  "I'm kidding...they're gonna be amazing human beings... how can they not? you're their mom"  I turn to her  "aw, Shanbee...they love you so much.they're gonna have your kindness and your heart"  "mmm..i really hope they're gonna have your freckles"  i smirk  "cool. am i good just for that?"  "totally"  she says, rubbing her nose against my neck  "i take back what i said about your kindness"  she giggles, placing a kiss on my cheek. as i'm about to open my mouth again, a baby's cry fills our ears  "here they are"  "he's gonna wake June up". i check the clock  "well, it's time..they have to eat". i get up and grab a shirt. then, i turn to look at my wife  "are you coming?"  "yeah..just a minute"  "don't be lazy..we have two babies"  "are you my mistress?"  i roll my eyes, smiling  "get up..i have to clean this room, later. we are so messy".

"oh..this is my "good morning mommy"?" i tell Gary, seeing that he pooped. Shannon grabs June, kissing her  "this little girl wants to tell you something"  they get closer..the baby rubs her sleepy eyes and then  "moning momy"  "awww...let me eat those sweet cheeks". "mm..he's so tiny but he knows how to poop"  Shannon states, looking at our son  "don't make him feel bad. don't listen to her, mom's love..you're perfect"  i tell Gary, changing his diaper. "Gay smells"  June says, pointing at him  "no, he doesn't..it's the diaper, princess"  "yes..do you think your poop doesn't smell, princess?"  Shannon adds. the baby places her head upon my wife's shoulder  "mom, food.."  "yes, let's have breakfast". i kiss my son's stomach  "this little prince is ready to join the party..let's go, family". 

I look at Shannon and June that are eating together. tomorrow is our first wedding anniversary..i already told Shannon not to plan or book anything. i'm excited and a little nervous. i pat Gary's back who burps..i kiss his forehead  "good boy". he has brown hair and blue eyes and he's small..he looks like the male version of Shannon. she grabs the plates  "i have to go to the office so i'll be free for the next two days"  "okay"  "i'm going with June so you can clean"  "no, it's not a problem. i can take care of them"  "are you sure?"  "yes, Shanbee"  she smiles and pecks my lips  "i'm taking a shower".

i'm alone with the babies now. June is playing with her toys, looking at the cartoons every now and then..Gary is near her... "Gay...this.."  she gives him a piece of lego..he grabs it, smiling widely..they are my angels and i love them so much. i take a picture of them with my phone and then send it to Shannon:

me: June loves her brother as well.

i'm finishing cleaning the kitchen. i hear the front door open and i smile instantly. when Shannon steps in the open space, her face shows all the love and the tenderness she feels for our kids  "they're so cute, i can't". the babies turn around and start moving frantically, hearing the sound of her voice  "mom!". she kisses them  "hi my loves"  Gary laughs loudly as she tickles him. i'm watching them with heart eyes..they're so beautiful. 

Shannon reaches me, hugging me from behind  "i'm all yours for the next two days"  "you're always all mine"  she kisses my cheek  "i know". 

we're cleaning our bedroom  "we have to pack"  i tell her  "mm..so, we're leaving"  "yeah.."  "do i have to drive?"  "no"  she raises her eyebrows  "interesting"  i smile, cupping her cheeks and placing a kiss on her mouth  "don't be impatient, you're gonna find out".
