after three weeks and a half i'm about to see my girlfriend.Hayley just picked me,Alex and Tj from the airport.when we pull up at her place, I settle down in one of the guest rooms.i look at my phone..no texts from Shannon,she must be on the plane.i breathe out and go downstairs..Hayley is cooking  "Hey Cari,do you think Shannon will be in time for dinner?"  "i hope so..her flight is late". i sit on the couch..i look around and see Alex and Tj and Hayley and her boyfriend kissing and cuddling...ugh..i hate them..this reminds me how much i missed Shannon in the past weeks..the nights spent crying because i felt the urgency of her touch and the morning waking up with sadness because i knew i wouldn't have seen her.i sigh,thinking that maybe i developed an obsession for her and i have to take back my independence.the doorbell rang...when Hayley opens the door,these fucking thoughts disappear.i run to hug Shannon who's standing on the doorstep...her scent hits me and an happiness feeling starts rushing all over my body...then i look into her eyes and the electricity consumes me..she attacks my lips and my heart beats faster.i keep kissing her.we kissed for some minutes and then pull away...she looks me in the eyes and says  "damn..i forgot how stunning you are"  i smile,taking her hand  "i'm gonna show her our room"  i say to my friends.when we are in our room,she places her suitcases on a corner and then locks the door  "i'm gonna take a shower and you're coming with me"  she states with an hypnotizing look.i can only nod.

when we're dressed,my girlfriend takes my hand to go downstairs.we sit at the table..everyone stares at us.Alex and Hayley exchange a knowing look,i roll my eyes.we start eating.my friends are talking about Christmas gifts when i remember that i didn't give Shannon my present... "and you, lovebirds?"  Hayley asks us as she read my mind   "we didn't exchange our presents yet"   i say  "what?i thought you gave Shannon something earlier"  Alex says and everybody laughs...i blush..Shannon puts her hand on my thigh trying to hide her laugh.i give up,laughing too..

when we finished,i go upstairs to bring my present for Shannon.i sit on the couch,next to her.i place the box on her lap..she smiles and kisses me before unwrapping it.  "oh baby...you're adorable"  she says,taking the pyjamas on her hands  "when i saw it i couldn't resist.i pictured you with this on and i melted"  i say..she kisses me and says  "thank you babe..now's your turn".  she pulls out a little box from the pocket,i raise my eyebrow..Hayley comes closer and says  "ooooh...what is it?"  i smile opening it..it's a necklace and there's something written in the stone  "20th June 2016"  my eyes start watering..i jump on Shannon kissing her  "i love you,i love you,i love you"  i repeat between kisses.Alex has some tears on her face too,i laugh and she answers  "what?i am the principal witness of your relationship".

S pov

it's New year's Eve.i'm on the couch with the men,waiting for Cari to get dressed... "why do they always make us waiting?"  Tj asks,i shrug answering  "i don't know man..i'm getting used to Cari's delays". Alex is the first coming downstairs,then it's Hayley's turn and ten minutes later Cari comes too..she's wearing a black sweater and tight pants,i reach her and she hugs me  "um,hey baby your boobs are bigger"   i say in a low voice  "you can't complain"  she answers  "i'm not,i'm just stating a fact"  i reply.
