Gracie POV
After about ten minutes Gilinsky finally calmed me down from the raccoon situation.
"I think there are some extra lanterns that we could use" He says
"Yeah that would be fun" I say
We get the other lanterns and the lighter.
"Were going to set these off" I tell everyone
"Don't get attacked by any raccoons" Court says
"Don't swallow each other" Hayes chuckles
"Don't take off your clothes again" Sam says
I flip them off and we start walking.
"Hey can we not go all the way to the beach its too far" I tell him
"Yeah lets go over here" He says
"I cant really see that well" I say tripping over another root.
"Damn bro you are clumsy" He laughs while helping me up. Once he grabbed my hand to pull me up he never let go. He leads me all the way to the water.
"This is a good spot" I say
"Yeah, the stars are so bright here" He lets go of my hand, sadly
We get our lanterns ready and think of wishes. "My wish is that our whole friend group will always be together no matter what" I say to him
"My wish is that I never loose my best friend" he says
"I cannot picture you and Johnson not together" I say
"No besides him, I meant you" he chuckles
"Bruh your so sweet" I smile
"Lets light these up" Jack exclaims
I get the lighter and light them both up he lets his go first. Its flies up and up over the water. I let mine go and it goes right towards a tree. Of course the tree starts to light on fire.
"Fuck Jack what do we do" I start to panic.
"It will go out" He says not worrying
The flame spreads more and more. "WHAT IF I START A FORREST FIRE" I yell
"Then we run, but it will burn out so chillax G" He calmly says.
We stand under the burning tree for another minute or so and thankfully it does stop.
We walk back to everyone and tell them what happened. We all decide to go to bed since its about midnight. I crawl into the tent in between Hayes and Sam.
"Good night everyone, I love you and dont want to leave tomorrow" I say.
"Good night and me neither" Nash groans. Everyone adds something and we eventually fall asleep.
*AT SCHOOL ON MONDAY*
Its last period biology and the bell is about to ring.
"Grace and Will can I please speak to you for a minute" The teacher, Mr.Rizzo announces
We both go over to his desk, "Grace, you are not doing too well in this class and Will, being the best student, would be a great tutor for you. I think this will really help you" Mr.Rizzo says
Me and him look at each other, Will is smiling so I guess he is willing (haha) to do it. "Yeah that sounds good" I say
The bell rings and I walk out of class.
"Hey Gracie" I hear someone call from down the hall.
I turn and its Will. We start walking toward each other.
