The following events took place after the set date of 1965, but imagine the book didn't happen. This means Dallas and Johnny didn't die, because there wasn't a book. YA DIG?

Soda: By 1966, he went missing without a trace. It wasn't until a few years later when Darry and Ponyboy were notified of his death in Vietnam. It turns out that Soda ran away to live on the road for a while and we he needed money he joined the army.

Ponyboy: He went on to complete high school at the top of his class, then on to Harvard, then Law school. After working at a law firm for around 10 years, he decided to settle down with his wife and work on becoming a writer. Ponyboy had 2 children, one of which committed suicide and led to Pony's alcohol abuse later in life. He became a world known author, and inspirational speaker after turning sober. He ended up dying from old age.

Darry: After Soda and Pony were no longer at home, Darry re-entered the dating field and met a woman named Amy. After a long, circle of dating over and over, they decided to stop playing games and tie the knot. Darry went on to have 4 children, all of which lived average lives and many pomeranians...Darry fell from a roof top with a bundle of wood planks one morning and completely broke his spine, leading to a lifetime in a wheel chair. Amy left Darry, but his children remained loyal throughout this life. He died from lung cancer at the 60.
