Jeon Jungkook
I know you can hear me. Listen to me. I will help you break free from this—
"Just stop. I don't want to break from this coma. Being unconscious is better than being alive right now."
Yoongi pauses a long moment. I know he's trying to break back into my mind but I'm doing surprisingly well at blocking him. Somewhat. I don't want to know what's going on around me. Since the invasion...it all just went to hell.
No, it was hell before that. Since Yoongi blackmailed me into getting pregnant with his...whatever they are...I've been in hell. Living in fear and paranoia.
Luckily the Cedian's haven't figured out my problems yet. Hopefully they won't focus on me and find out about the abomination I'm growing inside. No one can know.
You can't hide it forever. Our younglings develop much faster than your species. More intelligent as well. You can't fight this, Jungkook. Yoongi sighs into my mind.
I mentally curse. I wasn't concentrating hard enough. "Please just leave me be. You've already done what you've set out to do. Why can't you just leave me alone now?"
...because they could hurt you. I will protect you. Even if you don't want it.
I feel tears well up behind my closed eyes. I can hear Taehyung and Namjoon waking and struggling around me but I don't bother to open my eyes. I don't want them to know I'm awake yet.
I might just break and tell them. They will hate me for betraying them. For lying. For not doing my duty for our people. I can't do it. I respect the captain so much and the look of disappoint...no. I can't take it.
You should only care about me.
"Shut up! GET OUT OF MY HEAD!"
There is finally idle silence in my mind. I can sense he finally left me alone. For now, anyway.
I tune back in to my surroundings as Namjoon and Taehyung begin muttering around me. Time to face the music. I peak my eyes open to see Taehyung red faced and trying to break the steel bindings. Namjoon is glaring at him.
They both notice my open eyes.
"Are you Alright, Jungkook? Did they injure you?" Namjoon inquires.
I shake my head hesitantly.
He takes a breath. "Good. That's good. It seems they've repaired our injuries for some reason."
"Funny. I thought they were trying their damnest to kill us." Tae mutters darkly, wincing at the now sealed pink scars on his stomach where they stabbed him.
Groaning, he drops his shirt and stares at the ceiling. "What now?" He glances around. "We just wait here?"
"I don't think we really have a choice." I reply.
He clicks his tongue.
"I don't think they will leave us alone here long. I'm sure they will want to gloat at their victory." Namjoon says a little dryly.
I have to agree. Not many people are capable of attacking our massive ship like that. Maybe Yoongi's people or...a Cedian.
I pale at that thought. I really want it to be one of Yoongi's kind but I know better. Why would his own people take him prisoner?
Has to be a Cedian. For sure.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear.
The door swishes open to reveal a wickedly grinning man and Seokjin. The man's arms are hung loosely over the human's shoulders. Looking innocent yet threatening enough to hold apprehension.
Namjoon curses. "Jooheon."
Jooheon chuckles. "Captain Kim. Long time no see. How have you been? Seems you've finally gotten over your little mate's death, hm?" He glances at Seokjin with a knowing smirk.
I frown at this. What does he mean?
Namjoon likes Seokjin. Haven't you noticed the tension between them?
Shut up! No one asked you! I curse, once again blocking Yoongi from my mind.
His dark laughter rings in my head, fading away.
Jooheon releases Jin and begins unlocking our bindings. I rub my wrists and sit up slowly, not talking just observing.
Namjoon swings up but before he can go for an attack—Jooheon holds up a gun, holding it right to Jin's temple.
The human's eyes widen but he doesn't speak. Namjoon stops.
"Be smart. I've released you on good faith. Let's play nice, shall we?"
"What do you want? Haven't you done enough already?"
"Oh, not nearly enough. Not enough to avenge the anger and retribution in my heart and blood."
I frown, glancing between the two glaring men. What the hell is going on...I look at Taehyung who looks as confused as me.
What the hell does this man have to do with Namjoon? How does our captain know this man?
I feel Yoongi eagerly waiting to reveal more secrets but I hold him off. I want to hear it from our captain.
Jooheon notices us staring at them. "Why don't you tell your men the truth, Joon? Tell them how we know each other, hm. Tell them why their lives are now at stake." He chuckles like an amused madman.
We all look at Namjoon—including Jin who still has a gun pressed to his neck.
Namjoon curses loudly before softening his voice in a way I've never heard before. "Cut the shit, Joo."
Jooheon smirks, cocking the gun in warning. "Time is quite relevant here, my dear friend."
Namjoon grinds his teeth. "Must you always be an insufferable asshole, my brother?"
Brother? BROTHER?!!?
"...brother?" Taehyung chokes out. "B-But you're a Cedian?! How could you be brothers?!"
He laughs, nodding. "Yes. How, indeed, could Namjoon and I be brothers, hm? Perhaps your captain is a terrorist. But for yours or ours?" He teases, removing the gun and putting it back into his pocket. "Or perhaps I'm the terrorist."
Jin takes a deep breath of relief, shaking a bit. Namjoon doesn't reply. I really have nothing to say. I'm shocked. But technically I've committed sins against our world...does that make me as bad as him? Is Namjoon really a Cedian? How could that be possible? He was mated on Median Blue....
This doesn't make sense.
Namjoon finally raises his dark gaze towards me as if he can read my mind. I stiffen, holding my breath in fear. Does he know about me? Has he known all this time?
