"Where is it!" I command, running to my seat and grabbing the controls while Taehyung takes his seat beside me, gearing up.
He points to the far right and I see it. A wide span meteor shower headed directly for our ship. Shit! There's really no way to come out unscathed. Taking a deep breath, I look at Taehyung.
"Get the others ready for a collision course. We might go down. I'm going to find the closest landing I can find."
He taps frantically on his tablet. "There's a lunar moon close by. It is also in the danger zone but safer than being fully out in the open. We have a chance of making it down before the worst hits." He explains, showing me the coordinates.
I map them and begin turning the ship around to the lunar moon called Xandere Phi. "Go get the others. They need to be buckled in just in case."
He nods, getting up and leaving the room. I have no time to think, just act, as I maneuver the ship around and begin dodging the smaller of the meteors. They whiz by at insanely blinding speed—some hitting us here and there.
I curse at every hit. Our ship is strong but even still. A meteor shower is unpredictable in deep space. Very dangerous.
I fly fast, putting the ship into hyper speed. We should reach the moon in the next ten minutes or so.
I don't look behind me as Taehyung ushers all the others in and has them take seats. They all get strapped in as I work the controls, trying to dodge as much damage as possible. We still take a few concerning hits, though. Much more than I'm comfortable with.
With a silent prayer, I land us rather bumpily on the rocky moon surface. Breathing a sigh of relief when the ship manages to survive the collision and crash landing.
My hands shake as I release the controls, forcing myself to get up to check on the other passengers. "Is everyone alright?" I ask, surveying the room.
Taehyung is gripping his chair tightly, the hybrid clutching Jin, Jungkook is frazzled but unscathed and...the reptilian looks as bland and unfazed as always.
      All is well.
Leaving Taehyung and Jungkook to take care of the others, I gear up to head outside and check all the damage. The moon is empty and silent as expected. Walking around, I take note of all the dents and holes. Luckily none will completely hinder the ship.
     That's something at least.
I step back into the ship, closing the hatch, then remove my helmet. Taehyung is waiting for me at the door. "How bad is it?"
I suck air through my teeth. "Bad but manageable. We will need to stay here a couple of days to patch a few concerning tears but otherwise it should be okay. So long as we don't run into any other meteor showers."
He nods. "Okay. Should I tell the others to just go back to their rooms?"
I hesitate. "Yes. Everything is fine."

      "So your mate..."
I jerk my head around—in the process of removing my shirt. I ball it up, tossing it in the hamper, before staring at Jin.
I tense up. "What about him?"
He enters my room and closes the door. I raise a brow at the action. Crossing his arms, he eyes me. "H-Hoseok, right? That's why you were upset when I mentioned my friend."
I press my tongue into my cheek, unsure how to answer. I really don't want to think about it—nor talk about it—again right now. Too soon. The wound still much too fresh.
"Yes, they share the same name. I'm sure they aren't the same, though. Impossible." Muttering, I turn away from him, feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable. Something a soldier should never be.
He walks closer. Close enough I can feel his body heat right behind me. "I'm sorry if I brought up painful memories for you. I didn't mean.."
"You did nothing wrong. I told you I would listen if you wanted to talk. There's nothing to apologize for." I meet his eyes, giving him the clear fact that it's alright.
He still looks unsure. "I still feel bad. It's strange, though, right? What are the odds that my friend and your mate from an entirely different planet share the same name?" He chuckles, eyes lighting up a bit.
I get distracted by them. The light in side the soft brown specs. They're pretty. They remind me of...
Clearing my throat, I look away. "It is strange but not impossible. Names can be shared but not souls."
He tilts his head. "No? I thought you were big on soulmates? Isn't that sharing souls?"
"Not necessarily. I can see why you might think that way, however. Soulmates aren't the same as sharing. Soulmates are..." I struggle to find the right words to describe my feelings for my late partner. I think it over but can't really come up with anything. "I don't know. I guess sharing of souls make sense for soulmates." I shrug.
He beams in victory of winning his argument. "Right. I agree on that."
I sit down on my bed and look up at him. "Was that all you wanted?"
He blinks, confused. It clears up quickly, though. "Oh no. I was wondering what happened? Are we stuck on this moon now?"
"No. We'll be back on track towards our planet soon. We just have to patch up a few tears in the side of the ship. They won't necessarily hurt anything but I would rather play it safe than not."
"Okay." His eyes trail over my naked chest down then back up to my face. His cheeks flush. "I guess that's all..."
He seems reluctant to leave the room. "Is Jimin busy?"
He pauses. "Yeah. He's been spending a lot of time with Taehyung."
I frown at that. Not good. I may have to reprimand him. He should not be getting too close to the...chosen? I guess we can call them that. The abducted just sounds barbaric.
I notice his hesitation. "Would you like to stay here? I was about to watch a show and take a nap."
"S-sure." Surprised, he carefully climbs on the bed beside me and snuggles under the blanket. I head into the bathroom, quickly changing into black silk pajamas, before getting into bed beside him.
It's awkward. And silent, far too silent. I find a comfortable position and start up the show. Some old prerecorded earth movie called 'titanic'.
It's a very stupid movie. If this were really based on a true story then I'm surprised greed and hunger for power had not destroyed humanity as of yet. Along with stupidity.
Jin cries at the end for some strange reason. I want to question it but think better of it. Instead, I relax and close my eyes, feeling myself drift.
It's been quite awhile since I've fallen asleep beside another body. Another heat source. It's nice, actually. Comfortable. I forgot how much I've truly missed it—The closeness with another.
My mouth opens without thinking it over. "You can sleep here, if you want." I don't open my eyes to see his expression but the fact I can feel him relaxing beside me is answer enough.
