Corrie's day turned out shitty the moment she stepped foot in the gallery. The painting she just finished fell on its face, smearing the entire thing. Then she bumped into someone when she went on a coffee run and the coffee stained her new white blouse. Now, as she's on her way to pick up Abel from kindergarten her car started giving problems.
"Come on you son of a bitch" She yells at her car punching the steering wheel in frustration. "Fuck it"
She punches in Jax's number and waits impatiently for him to answer. "Hey babe"
"Hey. Are you at the club house or near a tow truck?"
"Yeah, just got to TM"
"Come pick me up please, my car doesn't want to start"
"I'm on my way baby. Where are you?"
"In the middle of Abel's school and the gallery, thanks babe"
Jax chuckles, "I'll find you"
She hangs up the phone and sighs as she locks her car knowing Jax will kill her if she doesn't. He always tells her she's not being careful enough.
Corrie hears the tow truck roar in the silence a few minutes later. She gets out of her car when he gets out of the car.
"You okay baby?" he asks her as he takes off his sunglasses. She nods her head, "Yeah this was just a shitty day"
Jax smiles and kisses her, "You want to talk 'bout it?"
Corrie sighs and hugs him, "I'm perfect now."
"Okay" he pecks her lips, "Let's check this car out, did it make a noise? What happened?"
"Uh, I was driving and then it started shaking like when there's no gas in, then it stopped with a 'krrrr' sound"
"Alright" he chuckles, amused as hell at her description. "I'm gonna tow this in, you have somewhere to be?"
"Abel's at school, we need to pick him up"
Jax nods his head and opens the passenger door for her, she sighs all too dramatically, "I've never driven a tow truck before"
He raises an eyebrow at her, "You're not driving one today either"
"Please" She whines, "I'll do that thing you like"
"Not going to happen, sweetheart, I'll give you credits for trying though"
"Jackson" She whines and stomps her foot on the ground, "Why don't you ever want me to drive?"
"Because you drive like a snail, and we'll get a fine if we pick up Abel at 8 tonight"
Corrie narrows her eyes at him and slaps his stomach, "You're a jerk"
"I'm your jerk though" he replies cutely bringing his face closer to hers in order to kiss her. She pushes his face away, "No driving, no kissing"
Jax glares at her, "You don't play fair"
"I'm just a hell of a manipulator"
Jax laughs, "Fine my little manipulator, you can drive the tow truck. Just make sure we don't arrive at the four kilometre-away club house at midnight alright?"
"I won't" she steps on his foot and grabs the keys out of his jeans. Jax chuckles at her, "Ah I love you my crazy girl."
**
Jax and Corrie picked up Abel a few minutes ago, they are on their way to the club house. Jax kept telling Abel the entire way there that 'mommy doesn't drive well' and 'mommy drives like a snail'
Abel kept on blubbering along but fell asleep the moment Corrie parked the car at the club house. Jax gets out of the vehicle and stretches dramatically. "God, what a long drive, I thought I'd never see this ground again"
"Oh haha, you're funny" Corrie rolls her eyes, "Can you stop being dramatic and get your son?"
"Yes dear, I will do so dear"
Corrie giggles, "You're in a good mood today. I've missed joking Jax"
Jax smiles and picks up Abel from his car seat. "It's only with you babe. I've promised myself that club shit won't land at the house anymore. You're my sanctuary, club is state, you are church. We get to call state and church from now on"
Corrie smiles and strolls forward to kiss him, "I like that."
"Good. Because I want to set a date, I don't want to wait long anymore. I want to get married to you"
Corrie beams at him, "When do you want to get married?"
Jax sighs and wraps his free arm around Corrie's waist. The Teller family is now wrapped up in each-others' arms.
"I was thinking in October. Maybe the 11th, it's a Saturday, it's warm out and you love October"
"It's also Thomas's birthday"
Jax nods, "I miss him; I miss Opie. I miss how it used to be"
"I do too. We'll do it on the 11th of October in memory of Thomas"
"Great" He beams, "You can start planning"
Corrie scoffs with a chuckle, "Oh no. You'll help with the planning thank you"
"Dammit"
