Happy is the first one to notice an overly tired and seething Jax the next morning as he walks into the club house.

"Hey brotha" Happy greets him

"How's Corrie?" Quin asks as the President sits down on the picnic table running a hand over his face in frustration. After he got Corrie settled the night before, he called Chibs. The VP promised to fill in the club before Jax got here this morning.

"She's okay. I put Phil on her, she likes him."

"We'll find out who did this brother. Nobody threatens our girl and get away with it" Tig insists.

Gemma hides away in her car in front of Abel's school. She's been banned from this goddamn place by none other than Corrie, so she can't even visit her own grandson. Well, tough Corrie, the whore doesn't always get what she wants. Gemma has no problem trampling over anyone getting in her way to her grandson.

The brunette stumbles out of the car as soon as she spots her grandson, he's running around playing with friends.

She hasn't stopped drinking since that day of the accident, and she's not going to stop drinking until she has her grandson back where he belongs – away from the stupid girl playing house with her son and grandson.

"Abel! Abel!" Gemma stumbles to the gate separating her from Abel.

A teacher closes in when she sees the obvious inebriated Gemma calling for the small 6 year old boy. The school has strong instructions from the boys' parents that Gemma isn't allowed near Abel.

"Mrs Teller- Morrow" Gemma grimaces at the wrinkled old fool barricading her from her grandchild.

"Where's my grandchild, I want to see him. Abel, Abel, come here!"

"Mrs Teller- Morrow, it's in the middle of the school day, and you're obviously drunk. Go home, get some sleep"

"I don't want sleep. I want my grandchild. Abel, Abel, come here. Let's go get ice cream"

"Go gramma" Abel says, his grandma is embarrassing him in front of his friends.

"Your mom keeps you from me Abel! Well, guess what. She's not even your real mother. They've been lying to you your whole life. Your real mom's name is Wendy. Corrie isn't your mother!"

"Leave now!" The teacher growls, she beckons over two security guards who escort Gemma away from the school and away from her grandson.

**

Corrie gets a call from the school half an hour after the incident, they don't tell her what happened, just that she must come with Jax.

Even though the latter is busy with club shit, he promises her that he'd be at the school in a few. Corrie drives off with Phil riding behind her on his bike.

**

"Mr and Mrs Teller, thank you for coming." The principle leads them into his office with the teacher following after.

"What's going on?" Jax asks, the couple sit down on the brown leather chairs facing his desk.

"Your mother, Mrs Teller-Morrow, came to the school, caused a scene. She was inebriated, demanded for Abel to come with her. We got her escorted from the premises."

Corrie shakes her head in disbelief.

"Jesus Christ" Jax moans, running a hand over his face.

"There's more" The teacher adds, "She said some things; she told Abel that you're not is mother."

Corrie drowns out everything as soon as she heard the news. Gemma has officially crossed the line.

"Shit" Jax's curse is what brings her back to earth. Corrie storms out of the building to get fresh air otherwise she'd kill Gemma.

"Cor, Corrie" Jax follows her, like he always does. Corrie turns around in a flash

"I'm going to hurt her Jax, I swear. She has gone too far this time."

"I know. I know."

Corrie cries, "What if he hates me? What if Abel hates me?"

"He won't hate you babe. Abel is smart enough to know who was there for him throughout his life."

"He's so little, he shouldn't have to deal with a damn drunk grandmother!"

"I'll handle Gemma. I swear that to you. She won't get away with this" Jax kisses her on the forehead, "I'll go get the kid and we can tell him the truth together"

"Okay" Corrie agrees in a whisper.

**

Corrie waits in suspense for Abel and Jax to appear. Her heart does flip flops when she spots the blonde mop of hair of the boy she loves more than life holding his father's hand.

Her nerves wash away when Abel makes a dash for Corrie yelling out mommy.

Corrie has never loved those words more. The tears flow down her cheeks like a river, she crouches down and hug him tightly. "Hey buttercup. I'm here. I'm here"

"Mommy why would gramma say you're not my mommy?"

"Daddy and I will explain that you now. I promise alright?"

"Okay."

"Hey buddy, want to go eat pizza?"

Abel nods at his dad's question, keen on the idea to get pizza with his parents. Abel gets into Corrie's car. Jax turns his wife around and press a kiss to her forehead. "I told you he won't hate you. Our boy is smart, he knows you're his mom"

"Thanks babe." Corrie kisses Jax's lips.

At the pizza place, both grownups explained the situation to the boy as best as they could. He understood now that he didn't come out of Corrie's tummy, like he said, but that he came out of Wendy's. He understood that Wendy gave birth to him, but Corrie's his mother.

They're stronger than Gemma's wrath. Corrie's confident in that.

Gemma chose the wrong girl to mess with.
