"Hey brother, heard anything about our girl?"

Bobby asks as Jax walks into the ice cream shop.

They just had a meeting with the Irish, and finally came to an agreement that the Irish will buy from the Chinese.

"She's still in surgery. I had to get out of there, it's too much Bob"

Bobby rests a heavy hand on the blonde man's shoulder, "She's incredibly brave and strong. She has survived her best friend; her dad; and her brother's brutal deaths. She survived two shootings. She'll survive this as well."

"She's 35 years old. She's so fucking young. She doesn't deserve this"

Bobby sighs, "Nobody deserves cancer Jax, but Corrie won't have cancer. The tumour will be benign."

"I hope you're fucking right"

"Jax"

Phil walks up to his president, "hospital called, Corrie's awake."

Jax nods his head with a curse under his breath, "do me a favour Phil, get Lyla to bring by Abel. Cor will want to see him"

"You got it."

Jax walks into the hospital room where Corrie was. She's watching some comedy show on TV.

"Hey babe" He whispers.

He sits down next to her, "How's my girl?"

"Sore but okay"

She smiles at him using all her strength to pull him down to her level.

"Doc says he'll call tomorrow with the results, apparently he put a rush on it. I can go home in a few hours."

"Abel's coming in a few, I figured you'd want to see our boy"Corrie smiles at him with a nod to her head, she pulls Jax's hand to her stomach when she feels her baby kick.

"We're keeping her right?"

"Her?" Jax raises an eyebrow, "we don't know if it's a boy or girl."

"Well whatever, we need to talk about the baby Jax, we're keeping the baby?"

"We'll see when we find the results" his tone indicates that their conversation is finished.

"Jax, let's talk about this-"Jax stands up abruptly grabbing his jacket without uttering a word.

"I need to go. I'll see you later"

"Jackson!" she calls for him but he's already gone.

**

Lyla walks into Corrie's house after the blonde was discharged from the hospital with Abel in tow.

The little boy doesn't let go of his mom's hand.

"Where's Jax?" Lyla asks after pouring both of them some soda. Abel is now playing outside with a football while the two girls are watching him from the terrace.

"He stormed out again. I mentioned the baby and he just pissed off"

Lyla sighs, "You want to keep the baby, but Jax is scared that if you do have cancer and you keep the baby, that he'll lose you. The boy doesn't want to take care of a kid that got the love of his life killed."

"I'm not going to die Ly, I wish Jax would believe it."

"How can you?" Lyla asks taking a gulp from her soda, "How can you know when you're dying and when not? You're not God"

Corrie sighs and stares at her son dribbling the ball, "because I'm not ready to give up the fight."

Lyla nods her head, "If it is cancer, and the doctor says he'll have to terminate the baby to save you. Would you?"

Corrie sighs deeply, that's a good fucking question.

Sorry! Not my best work but I've been super busy the last few days and I haven't had my computer with me. I'll try to update tonight as well with a longer chapter.

What do you think of Jax's reaction to the possible cancer?
