One Month Later

It was pouring out as Declan ran towards Caleb's house. Why was it always raining when she was late? Not that she was complaining, she loved the rain, but she had noticed it's timeliness recently.

Three solid knocks on the door and it spring open.

There, waiting, in a gray T-shirt, black sweatpants, and a dark green silk robe, smiling huge, was Caleb.

Declan sighed happily.

"STRAE BABAYYYYYY!" Caleb grinning as she ran into his open arms and spun her around. He set her down and closed the door behind them.

"You're drenched" He laughed at her.

"You're fault!" She smirked.

"Oh my god" He sighed happily as he looked at her.

"Oh stop" She shoved him.

"It's been so longgggggg! We missed youuuuu!" He squeezed her tightly again.

"Believe me, I missed you guys so much. Cam even made fun of me" She sighed.

"Cam always makes fun of you!" Caleb argued as he led her into the kitchen.

"Calebbbbbbbbbb?" Came a voice from the living room beyond them. "Who was at the door?"

Declan and Caleb smirked at each other. They grabbed the bowls of popcorn Caleb had been making and walked in.

"Oh no one" Caleb replied non-chalantly.

Sadie looked up from the couch, her eyes focusing on Caleb and then Declan. She returned her gaze to her phone before her eyes went wide in realization and snapped her head up.

"DECLAN?!!?" She shrieked as she shot up and attacked the girl in a hug.

"Hi Sades" Declan chuckled as she hugged the girl back.

"OH MY GOD YOURE BACK!!!" She cried, happy tears streaming from her eyes when she pulled back to look at the girl in front of her.

"Sadieeee!" Declan scolded and wiped them away as Caleb laughed at her.

"Oh shut it" Sadie shot a playful glare at him. She turned towards Declan, hand in hers, and pulled her to the couch, "Sit! Please! You have to tell us everything!"

"Oh jeez" Declan chuckled.

"The last time you called you were in.... Arizona? If I remember right?" Sadie started.

"Right" Declan nodded as she tried to track her time back to that moment.

She called Sadie twice since leaving, Caleb a few times, and Millie once. Only Sadie and Caleb knew what had happened to her, and had to keep it a secret from everyone else. Especially Finn.

Declan's mother had been murdered by some men working for her father in jail. Cameron's fathers friend was on the case and had met Declan before, remembering who she was and connecting her to the case, he had called Cameron, insinuating their disappearance from set that day. However, Declan's mom wasn't stupid, and she had split up her money between her five biological children. Her father, infuriated, decided to send her mother's murders after them to get his money. So Declan had to 1) find her lost and renamed and relocated siblings in the foster system, 2) tell them their mother had died at their father's hand and they had come into a large sum of inheritance, and 3) let them know that because of that, they were being hunted by professions murders and had to go into hiding. So her and Cam had set off right away.

"Oh yes!" Declan remembered, "We had just left August in Delaware, finally, set up with a new identity and house and everything. Now we thought Noelle might be in Washington, and had word that Easton was in Arizona, and still no clue about Shelby. So we were in Phoenix looking for Easton, wandering around when I saw the oddest worn-out poster on a lamppost. It was a drawing of a horse, pure white and frail looking with blue eyes, and it was advertising riding lessons. Cam was checking in with the local drugstore to see if anyone had seen Easton around and I just thought that the horse in the poster looked exactly like the old one my dad used to bring us to. Shelby had adored riding you see, so, of course, Easton had too. He did everything with her. They were two peas in a pod. So I took the poster, got Cameron, and we drove up to the farm on the ad"
