The House

"Oh thank jesus fuck" Declan sighed as she collapsed onto her bed.

They had been traveling for over 18 hours.

Finn frowned. It felt odd to be back in the trailer. Unsettling. It felt half-dead. Like it knew somehow that Cameron was gone, and he wasn't coming back.

"Uh... to be honest... when you said you wanted to go somewhere... I didn't think you meant here..." Finn trailed off uncertainly.

Declan lifted herself up on her elbow and sighed.

"Where else am I gonna go? I can't stay in LA" She sighed, "I'll drive myself crazy with guilt. I just need to keep moving. And as much as living out of a car and motels sounds great, this is a step up. A lonely and painful one, but still" She shrugged.

"You can come live with me!" Finn emphasized for the millionth time.

"And I would adore to live with you honey, honest. But I won't intrude on your family" She sighed, "Come on. We've talked about this"

Finn was about to protest when they heard footsteps approaching and Sadie's red hair caused them to quiet and look away from each other.

"Interrupting a lover's quarrel? Am I?" She grinned. Declan couldn't help the smirk that crept onto her face. Finn shook his head in amusement.

"Ooh a lover's quarrel?!" Gaten's voice floated up the stairs.

"I want in!" Millie sang through the door.

"Me too!" Noah chimed in, thundering up next.

"Mature" Jaeden rolled his eyes as he came up behind them, jumping onto the bed with Declan, who threw her arm around him while the rest started messing around on her equipment.

Finn and Declan's eyes connected and they smiled at a distant memory of three hour naps and the first time the kids came to the trailer and photographs on walls and guitars and flowers. It all seemed so so long ago.

"So while they monkey around...." Jaeden turned to his best friends. "You really gonna live here?" He frowned at Declan.

"Like I said... not much choice" She huffed.

They got distracted when Millie fell from a bar, screeching, but Noah caught her, surprisingly.

.... Because he was watching her the whole time. Millie was breathing hard when she leaned forward and connected their lips.

"Oh.... my.... GODDDD!" Sophia, who had just climbed to the top of the steps, screeched.

Caleb, two steps behind her, chuckled.

"Saw that one coming! You owe me $20 babe!" He laughed as he brushed past a still-stunned Sophia to put his arm around Sadie's waist. She looked pissed that she had to pay him but happy that he was beside her.

"WHAT?!?" Gaten screeched, jaw dropped too.

Finn and Declan exchanged a look.

"I better go get her before she falls down the damn stairs" Jaeden mumbled in amusement as he sat up, collected Sophia, who was still staring, and seated her at Declan's desk chair.

"I—" Millie mumbled wide-eyed, like even she couldn't believe herself.

"Did you just—?" Noah faltered.

"I'm so s—"

But Noah cut her off by kissing her again and pulling her into him.

"EWWW!!!" Sophia shrieked, hiding her face in Jaeden's chest.
