Ready To Go (Barely Witches)

It was now early afternoon as the cast sat around Caleb's house: talking, laughing, TV in the background, eating, and giving Declan an unwanted hug every two minutes.

In the kitchen, Declan and Caleb were finally alone for a second.

"Anything?" She asked him quietly.

"No response" Caleb huffed, "I mean he's gotta have his phone on him, right? He's in town, the premier is tonight"

Declan rolled her eyes and sighed, leaning back against the fridge, opposite Caleb, who was leaning against the sink.

"Are you gonna go?" Caleb asked finally.

Declan looked out at her friends, smiling and having a good time in the living room, and thought about the flashing lights, invasive questions, managers, judgmental celebrities, and unpredictable boy that awaited her in her ulterior option.

"I don't know" She sighed. "I promised him I would"

"But a lot's changed since then" Caleb argued, "Don't make yourself miserable for him. He couldn't even call me back. He doesn't deserve it"

"No, he didn't" Declan replied absent mindedly.

Caleb walked over to her and put his hands on her shoulders firmly.

"Declan, you don't have anything to feel guilty for. This was way more important. Finn just took it harder than the rest of us" Caleb looked her in the eyes.

"Yeah" Declan sighed, "I know, I know"

"So?" Caleb asked as he let her go.

"So what?" Sadie asked from the living room. Everyone turned to them.

"Caleb wants to know if I'm going to the IT3 premiere tonight" Declan sighed as casually as she could.

"What?" Gaten frowned.

"Who invited you?" Sadie climbed up onto the couch.

"Finn" She replied simply.

The cast exchanged confused, suggestive, and surprised glances.

"I hate it when you guys all do that simultaneously" Declan frowned.

"Can't help it, you tend to say... interesting things Decky" Millie chuckled.

"Well, are you gonna go?" Noah asked.

"Should I?" Declan looked to them and for the first time, they could see she genuinely needed help with this.

And they all sprang into arguing.

"Oh brother" Caleb face-palmed and chuckled as Declan rolled her eyes and collapsed down into her chair.

"Hopeless!" She chuckled.

Half an hour and two phone calls to Cameron later, and the group had decided that Declan should go to the premiere.

"I'll text Sophia so she knows you're coming, and if he's really that bad, we'll come get you in a few hours. No harm, no foul" Millie insisted.

"What am I suppose to wear?" Declan frowned.

"We can help!" Sadie grabbed Caleb and Declan and they ran off upstairs.

When Sadie finally let go, they were in a walk-in closet.

"Woah" Declan marveled at it.

"I know right" Sadie chuckled as she began riffing through things.
