One year ago

"Hi, are you Y/N Y/L/N?"

Y/N got pulled out of her trance just like that and looked down at the girl standing in front of her, who was smiling at her politely.

"I-uh, yeah. Yes, that'd be me." She mentally face-palmed herself for how awkward she sounded and tried her best to smile back at the other girl.

What a way to make a good impression on her first day as a new student here.

Her family just moved to El Dorado Hills because of her parents' new job, and that's quite a change in everything. And since it happened rather suddenly, she just has to transfer in the middle of a semester.

"Hey, I'm Amy, and I'm gonna be showing you around today," she said cheerfully. Before she even finished that sentence, she already started walking to wherever she's heading. Y/N quickly followed her, kinda like a deer in the headlight.

They walked around a bit in the hallways as Amy pointed to the different classrooms and explained what subjects were taught there.

Whoever planned this must've been a genius because this all was happening during a period, so except for showing the transferred student around, there really isn't much to do.

The school wasn't that big, so after a short 10 minutes, they've arrived at their last destination, which was the assembly hall.

Since there's gonna be a music festival held tonight, the piano that's normally hidden in the corner is pulled out there, along with some other pieces of equipment.

Also, there were a few people present, rehearsing some song right now.

While Amy was excitedly rambling on about something random, Y/N just kinda stared at the girl who was sitting on top of that piano singing, completely blocking everything else out.

That voice was really beautiful. There was this little softness in it, but it was also so full of power. And the way that girl was just singing effortlessly while looking so passionate about it was just... It had Y/N swoon over her right then and there.

"Y/N? Hello?"

Amy waved her hand in front of the Y/E/C-eyed girl's face and finally got her attention after a few more seconds.

Y/N was finally able to break her gaze away from the brunette and shook her head. "I'm sorry, yes?"

The shorter girl seemed to realize what stole her attention and nodded towards the girl in the middle of the assembly hall. "That's Lisa. She's gonna perform tonight. You should come watch her."

"I..." She got distracted from her answer again as she shifted her gaze back to the girl, Lisa. "Yeah, I think I'll come," she finished dreamily.

Amy watched the way Y/N was looking at her sister and raised her eyebrows a little but decided to not say anything. The two of them stayed silent until the end of the song.

And then it was completely silent in the assembly hall.

Y/N slowly clapped her hands before Amy joined in, catching the people's attention. Lisa looked over to the two and gave them an exaggerated bow.

The Y/E/C-eyed girl expected that to be the end of their interaction, but then Amy hooked her arm around hers and suddenly they were making their way towards the band.

Seeing that, Lisa jumped off the piano and walked over to the two.

The closer they were getting, the more clearly she was seeing the singer's face. 'Okay, damn, so not only can she sing, she's really pretty too,' Y/N thought. She felt herself getting weak in the knees the closer she was getting to her presence.

"Hey Lise."

"Hi," the brunette replied. She looked over to her sister's companion and nodded towards her. "Who's your little friend over here?"

Amy stepped aside and gestured to the Y/E/C-eyed girl. "This is Y/N, the new student who just transferred here."

Lisa stuck her hand out and gave her a sweet smile. "Hey, I'm Lisa. Nice to meet you."

That smile... Oh my gosh-- Alright, okay, don't gay panic. It's all fine. Just act natural.

Y/N carefully took her hand and shook it. The moment their skin made contact, she felt a shock go through her body. It even made her heart skip a beat. She reflectively jerked her hand back.

What the fuck just happened?

The brunette raised her eyebrows and just when she opened her mouth to say something, Y/N quickly interfered. "Sorry. Hey." She squeezed her eyes shut at how embarrassingly weird she was acting. Trying to regain some of her confidence back, she managed to choke out a compliment. "Y-you're really good."

"Thank you."

The Y/E/C-eyed girl shifted her gaze down on the floor to prevent herself from staring again and embarrass herself even more.

Lisa noticed that and leaned down a little to lock eyes with her again. Y/N glanced up and saw how much closer their faces were now and felt her cheeks heat up.

She was already blushing pretty hard and this certainly didn't help.

The brunette smiled at how adorably awkward Y/N was and decided that that was enough fun for her. She went to stand back straight and turned to Amy. "She's cute. Keep her around."

With that, Lisa returned back to rehearsing as Amy dragged Y/N out of there and to their first class of the day.

That girl is for sure gonna be the death of me, Y/N thought to herself.

And she was right on that.

Throughout the following year, her crush just grew progressively by the day. If you think she was already way too nervous at their first encounter, then you should see her now. Every time they accidentally lock eyes, Y/N would feel like she's about to pass out and her heartbeat would just be going through the roof.

And now she's pretty sure that that little innocent crush is becoming a tiny bit more serious.

A/N

This was such a boring and short prologue, but it is a beginning towards something.

I can't believe that I'm actually writing a Lisa/Lauren/You fic solely for the reason because there's too few of those out there. For real though, are there barely any Lisa/You fics out there or am I just bad at searching? And most of them are boy x girl. There are some Lauren ones, but yeah. I don't think I've seen one with both of them, or again, I might be bad at searching.

So yuh.
