Narrator's POV
"So... be honest with me," Dani started, catching the raven-haired girl's attention first and making sure she's not talking to an already sleeping Lauren. "Do you still like Y/N?"
Lauren heaved out a sigh and turned her head to look at her sister lying beside her. Technically, the room was too dark for her to see anything but yeah. "I don't know, honestly," she said before turning back to stare up at the ceiling.
They were currently lying in the same bed in one of Y/N's guest rooms. This big ass house apparently only had three spare bedrooms, and every room only had one single bed, meaning the sisters had to share one with another. But since they were king sizes, it kinda makes it up for it, so it's fine.
"I'm just scared that... what if I start to really fall again and she's not there to catch me, you know what I mean?" Lauren said after a while. "What if... what if she'll still choose Lisa over me after all these years?"
Dani turned to give her sister a sympathetic smile but then remembered that she actually can't see that. "Laur, she's never chosen Lisa over you. She simply never answered that question."
"Silence is also an answer," the raven-haired girl mumbled out sadly.
"Would it make you feel better if I say that Lisa is still in denial about her feelings for Y/N?"
Lauren just sighed again. "She was in denial six years ago too, but that still hasn't stopped stuff from happening between them, has it?"
"Oof, you're right."
They both let out another sigh. This was just pointless. Maybe Lauren still had feelings for the girl, but so what? As she's said, she'd just still not stand a chance just like six years ago. Nothing's changed except that now there's another girl in the picture, the one that showed up at the door earlier tonight. So her chances are lessened even more.
"Well, I don't know how to make you feel better, but I got something that can possibly make you feel worse?" Dani offered.
Lauren furrowed her eyebrows in confusion. "What?"
"Remember how I was peeking at her phone earlier? I saw her chats. And she has a lot, and I mean, a lot of girls texting her some pretty suggestive things."
"Suggestive like what?" the raven-haired girl asked out of curiosity, but then again, did she really want to know? Probably not, but too late.
Dani licked her lips and tried to think of ways to best describe this. "Well, non-PG kind of suggestive stuff. You know... the kinda things we would usually censor in our songs."
"Thanks, Dan. Really needed that."
Dani just held her hands up in surrender. "I'm just saying, if you wanna go for it, you have some pretty strong competition going on. If I'm not mistaken, those girls texting her are all, like, A-list famous top models."
"What makes you think that I'm gonna compete against them?" Lauren fired with a chuckle.
"Because I can see that you still like her," Dani laughed. "But on the bright side, she's seemingly ghosting on all of them, so you might actually stand a chance against them after all."
Lauren turned to her sister again and punched her on her shoulder. "Thanks for the vote of confidence, Dani."
Great, so now not only has she compete against her own sister, she's also against some top models now. She doesn't even know how many people we're talking about here now, that's... gonna be tough. Wait, why is she even thinking so far into it? It's not like she's gonna try to get back with her again, so why would it matter how admirers the Y/E/C-eyed girl has?
