Narrator's POV

"Hmm, someone's looking very happy," Dani observed with a tease as her older sister came home and plopped down on the couch next to her.

Lauren just smiled at her in response. She hasn't even heard what her sister said to her. She's just simply so happy that Y/N had kissed her, told her that she thinks she likes her and has asked her out on a date. It all still felt like a wild dream to her.

Seeing how weird her sister is acting, Dani psst all her sisters that were in her sight to come here. The raven-haired girl has been down for some time now and now she suddenly looks like she just won the lottery. She thinks her other sisters might wanna check this out too.

Christina, Katherine, and Amy quickly gathered around the youngest sister and got her point immediately. They whispered in a hushed tone as they, in turn, took peeks at Lauren.

The raven-haired girl finally came back to her senses and saw her sisters being the usual weirdos they are again. "Why are you rats looking at me like that?"

"You tell me," Christina said with raised eyebrows. She inspected her younger sister again and a very possible thought crossed her mind. "Does someone have a new little crush?"

Lauren couldn't help the blush creeping onto her cheeks as she sheepishly nodded her head. Just thinking about the Y/E/C-eyed girl was making her all smiley again.

"Who is it?"

"Do we know that person?"

"Is he nice?"

"Is it someone from our school?"

"Lauren, answer us!"

The raven-haired girl held her hand up and signaled for her sisters to shut up for a second. "It's someone you guys know." Before she can elaborate further on who it even is, the four sisters started talking over each other again. Lauren chuckled at the random names they started to blurt out.

"So do you guys wanna keep guessing or should I just say it?"

"Just tell us, you rat," Dani said impatiently as she shook her older sister's shoulders.

"It's-uh... you remember that girl that slept over the other day, you know, after that party?"

"The one that was completely wasted? Yeah," Christina said, not knowing how this exactly had something to do with each other.

Lauren cleared her throat nervously. "Well... that girl, Y/N, she... may have asked me out on a date," she blurted out in one breath. It wasn't even that her sisters didn't know she was into girls, but this just felt different than all the other crushes she's had before. This just felt like her coming out to them all over again.

Amy was the first one to speak out. "Y/N as in Y/N Y/L/N? Like the one I know?" she asked. "I didn't know she slept over--"

"That's not important right now," Dani interrupted. "She asked you out? On a date?! When's the date?"

"Yes, Dan." The raven-haired girl chuckled at her younger sister's enthusiasm. "The date's tomorrow."

The eldest sister cleared her throat loudly to catch the two's attention again. She raised an eyebrow and looked intimidatingly at Lauren. "She looks like a bad influence to me," she said with a half-shrug. She then nudged her other sister on her side. "Kath, say something."

"I knew it," Katherine finally called out, a proud look on her face. "I knew something was up between you two that night you brought her home."

Christina's jaw dropped as she shook her head at her. She really thought her younger sister would get her point, but looks like she's the only one.

"What? Couldn't you see how much Lauren cares about her?" Katherine said innocently as she gestured to the said sister. "And look at her now, that girl really makes her happy."

"Well, I'm just putting my opinion out there. Don't come at me like that," Christina said with her hands held up in surrender.  She really had her reasons to be so alert over the girl. I mean, their first impression was literally Y/N being too shit-faced to even realize what was happening, so Lauren did get her sister's concern. But... she had her reasons to get drunk. She's just not sure she should tell her sisters that.

"Wait, aren't were forgetting someone?" Amy said as she looked around in the living room. "Where's Lisa?"

"Ms. Grumpy-pants has been avoiding human interactions for weeks now, remember?" Dani said before getting up from the couch. "Maybe this'll set her in a better mood. I'm gonna go get her."

Somehow, Lauren thinks this will just do the exact opposite. She quickly got up too and pushed her younger sister to sit back down on the couch. "You guys stay here, I'll tell her."

The way to Lisa's room honestly felt nerve-wracking. This really explains why telling her other four sisters went so smoothly, it's because Lisa wasn't there. Taking a deep breath, Lauren opened the door, completely forgetting to knock. "Hey, Lise."

"Huh," Lisa mumbled out as she sat up straight on her mattress again before locking eyes with the person that just entered her room. "Oh, hey Ladybug."

"Are you okay?" she asked carefully while walking over to her sister's bed, joining her on it. After she's brought Y/N home that day and her magically disappearing the next morning, Lisa's been acting weird since. It wouldn't take much to figure out that her sister's sadness had something to do with the Y/E/C-eyed girl. Just looking at her now, it looks like she hadn't slept for weeks.

Lisa gave her a tired smile. "Yeah, I'm fine. What's up?"

That reminded her what she's about to tell her sister and that was making her all nervous again. "So... there's something I wanna talk to you about. I've told the others already, but I just feel like you should know too. Especially you, actually..."

The brunette looked at her confused. "What is it?"

Lauren took a deep breath to sorta prepare herself for it. Here goes nothing. "Y/N asked me out on a date."

Lisa was completely taken aback by that. She tried her best to cover her shocked expression but it wasn't helping much. It honestly felt like a hard blow to the face. "O-oh, that's nice," she forced out with a smile.

The raven-haired girl frowned at her sister. "Lise... you really don't have to pretend that you're fine with it," she said as she reached for her hand. "I'm sorry."

"Why wouldn't I be fine with it?" Lisa asked with a strained chuckle. "It's not like I like her or anything."

And that just made her own heart shattered to pieces. It felt like someone was stomping at the pieces even, and that person being herself ironically enough.

"Oh okay," Lauren mumbled out. She knew her sister wasn't fine with it. Facial expressions just couldn't lie. And also, Lisa didn't know that her little sister knows as much as she actually does. She doesn't know that she's seen her and Y/N kiss in the assembly hall that day, she doesn't know that Y/N had confessed that she really has a crush on her, she doesn't know that Lauren was able to read all her feelings off her face when she looked at the Y/E/C-eyed girl.

But... if she wanna deny it, then who is she to force her assumed truth on her sister.

A/N

This was a little bit shorter than usual. The next 3 chapters will all be very long though, so that makes it up for this i guess.

And idk if anyone ever pays attention to the headers in the chapters, but most of the time, they suit the chapter in some sort of way. This might be the most suiting one yet.
