Narrator's POV
"Good morning folks, today I'm here at El Dorado High School. And here with me is..."
The camera then spanned to the four high schoolers standing awkwardly in the hallway with their peers "casually" walking past them. It was for the aesthetics and reality-feel, they said. Well, it's for sure caught the entire school's attention now.
It's been about a month since the sisters posted their cover on Youtube and blew up overnight. The hype around school still hasn't really calmed down that much because, in the meanwhile, they've posted another cover which also gained millions of views.
That's probably why this broadcast suddenly reached out to them for an interview. Now here they are.
"Four sixth of Cimorelli!" the interviewer exclaimed loudly into the camera.
Amy and Dani, being the sociable extraverts they are, didn't mind all this sudden spotlight. But Lisa and Lauren, on the contrary, felt a tiny bit uncomfortable. And with a tiny bit, I actually mean a whole fucking lot of discomfort.
And that was very visible for the camera.
The interview went on with some small talk as the other students whispered among themselves in other parts of the hallway. Some of them were highkey jealous while others deliberately tried to pose for the cameraman, hoping to get into the shot.
"I can't believe that the school let them pull off this thing," Camila, one of the peeps in the background, scoffed as she stared daggers to the four sisters.
Y/N raised her eyebrows at her friend. "Your jealousy is kinda showing."
It just made the Cuban roll her eyes at her. She glanced over at her shorter friend for backup. Ally got the memo and nodded along with what Camila's said, "I mean, I agree with Mila. This is getting ridiculous. They just posted a cover on Youtube and suddenly everyone's acting like they're the new Spice Girls or something."
Camila clapped her hands together. "Exactly my point. Thank you!"
"But they have talent though," Y/N said weakly. She knew it was no use standing up against these two but she just really felt like defending her crush. Also, that's just the truth. "I mean, have you heard their cover? I think it deserves the fame they're getting. Some people might be exaggerating a little, but it's not like it's their fault."
"They were alright," Ally said nonchalantly.
The Y/E/C-eyed girl knew it was all just their jealousy talking. Ally and Camila used to be the "singers of the school". Everyone knew them by their singing abilities; whenever there was a party or festival or whatever held by the school, they'd always ask them to perform and these two would just completely steal the show.
But then by a coincidental discovery, the music teacher found out about Lisa's talent in singing, and consequently, Ally and Camila had to share the spotlight with her. And now that apparently the brunette isn't the only Cimorelli that can sing, these two would just simply have no place to stand anymore.
Nobody would even care about them anymore now that there are some "Youtube sensations" attending their school.
And not too surprisingly, they're not cool with that thought.
Their evil idea planning got rudely interrupted by a third voice. "Woah, woah, woah. What's happening?" Normani asked as she glanced at the whole camera crew standing in their school hallway. She just arrived at school and was immediately met with this rare scenery.
"They're interviewing the Cimorelli's," Y/N said without looking up from her phone. Since her two friends were excluding her from their conversation, she just decided to find amusement on her phone instead and now she's too busy to pay attention to anything else.
