Narrator's POV
"Oooh, we should do a more acoustic song," Y/N suddenly said. She spun around in her chair and faced the sisters excitedly. They were working on the album again, and this idea just came up out of nowhere.
Lauren furrowed her eyebrows a little. "Do you know how to play instruments other than the piano and electric drums though?"
"And like why?" Christina added.
"I mean, you guys' sound is originally more acoustic too, right? And I don't want to make the entire album sound repetitive, so let's shake things up," the music producer explained. She then turned to the raven-haired sister and playfully dropped her jaw, feigning to be deeply offended. "And I do know how to play other instruments, alright."
She put away her laptop and walked over to the drums in the recording booth. Not gonna lie, no one has ever touched those drums for the entirety that they've been in this studio, so they were kinda convinced that the instrument was just there for the aesthetics or something. The Y/E/C-eyed girl plopped down behind the drumset and just dived straight into it.
Instead of going for a grand performance just to show off, the music producer actually took it seriously. She set up a tempo with the hi-hat before adding the bass and snare drum to it. The beat sounded pretty slow and chill.
Lauren stared at the older girl from the other side of the glass and unconsciously bit her lip. Okay, rip, maybe getting over this girl was harder than she thought. Watching the Y/E/C-eyed girl play the drums was... something else. It's making her blushing so hard for no particular reason. She tugged on her shirt a little to calm herself down. "I'm gonna go grab some water, be right back," she announced and just fleed away from the scene.
Lauren wasn't the only sister who was feeling hot and... slightly bothered by the music producer's little performance. This was just so different from normally, which was basically just her sitting in a chair and pressing some buttons and keys.
"We should do that and then add some piano to it," Y/N said from inside the recording booth, pulling Lisa out of her little bubble of thoughts.
"R-right," the blue-haired sister stammered out all too quickly, not realizing that that wasn't just aimed at her. Her sisters noticed how flustered she was and laughed at her reaction. This was really making them wonder whether they were just too blind to notice how easily she blushed around the music producer before or what. Like, how could they have not caught onto anything the past couple of months?
The Y/E/C-eyed girl came out of the booth and saw the sisters teasing her girlfriend. She had to hold in the urge to join them and just shyly went to wrap her arms around her from behind. "Told you musically talented people is your type," Y/N whispered beside her ear, her breath tingling against Lisa's skin.
That made her blush even more, making it spread all over her neck and chest too. "Shut up. That was just attractive," she muttered.
"Not even denying it, wow." Lisa didn't even have to see her face to know she was smirking at her right now. Y/N turned the blue-haired girl's chair around so that she was facing her and leaned down to cup her face in both of her hands. "Who are you and what have you done with Lisa Cimorelli?" she said jokingly as she caressed her cheeks with her thumbs.
Lisa rolled her eyes before she leaned forward and captured her lips in hers, kissing her softly. It felt so weird to be allowed to do this so openly.
"Uh, not to like disturb you guys, but I'd like to remind you that we're still very much here too," Katherine said awkwardly. She's never third-wheeled more in her life and by the look on her other sisters' faces, she can tell she's not the only one.
