Narrator's POV

It was early in the morning.

Or well, it was 9 something. But that's considered early for Y/N. She just couldn't really sleep last night after what happened with Lauren.

Honestly, it won't even surprise her if it turns out that that entire thing was just a dream.

She grumpily walked down the stairs and saw three-sixths of Cimorelli hanging in her living room.

"Good morning, people," the music producer called out, followed by a yawn.

Christina, Katherine, and Amy looked up and greeted her back. Two of them were just sitting on the couch and scrolling away on their phones while the oldest was petting her cat.

Y/N then realized that they probably don't dare to touch her stuff when she's absent. Normally when she tells her guests to feel at home, they really would, but looks like she's forgotten to say that this time. "You guys can do whatever you want. You know where the kitchen is. There's a TV here. If you feel like it, you can take a shower upstairs too."

"You sure it's fine?"

"Positive," Y/N said with a small smile. "Where are the rest?"

"Lisa was still sleeping, Dani is most probably too. I'm surprised that Lauren isn't up yet," Amy answered since she was actually rooming with one of them.

The Y/E/C-eyed girl hummed in response as she went over to the kitchen and grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl. "I'm gonna go to the studio, so if you need me, I'm most likely there." She didn't wait for any reply and just walked straight to her studio in the other section of the house.

Since the room was soundproof and she didn't think anyone would be in it, she just bursted right through the door.

Welp, that just scared the living shit out of Lauren.

Instinctively, she stopped playing and backed away from the instruments completely. "I'm sorry."

"No, I'm sorry. I didn't know anyone was in here."

The raven-haired girl slowly rolled her chair back to the piano. "Uhm, is it okay if I...?" she let the question hang in the air, one of her hands ghosting over the piano keys.

"Yeah, sure," Y/N said with a laugh. She fully walked into the studio too and went to grab a chair, gliding it over next to Lauren's. "What you doing though?"

"I was..."

Seeing that answering that question was apparently that hard, the music producer looked down at the papers spread over the place, searching for any clues. She took notice of one that read 'no good at being lonely' in capital letters on top.

Lauren saw that she saw it too, so she quickly dashed forward and crumbled the paper up in her pocket. "It's not finished yet."

Y/N raised her eyebrows at that dramatic movement. "Alright, keep your secrets."

Technically said, if the raven-haired girl wants the song to be produced by her, she really would need to show her eventually. Or even if she doesn't want it to be on this album but still wants to put it out on the future, she'd still end up hearing it. So either way, it won't be a secret for too long.

A deafening silence washed over the place and that was pretty ironic cause they were in a recording studio.

Lauren didn't speak up about last night's incident so the Y/E/C-eyed girl is just gonna assume that they're just back to square one now. She's not gonna give up this easily though.
