Narrator's POV

"Go faster, you slowpoke," Christina huffed out in the shotgun as she pointed to where the car in front of them was heading.

Lisa rolled her eyes and gestured to the speedometer. "The last time we did this, I got a speeding ticket. So I'm not going faster than this."

It's been a little while since Lauren and Y/N's first date. They've gone out a couple of times in the meantime, and since this was probably the longest their sister has ever gone out with someone, they're just getting protective again. Only Lisa, and Amy sort of, know the Y/E/C-eyed girl, so they just felt the need to keep a close eye on her and make sure she's not a bad influence or some heartbreaker or anything. Lauren seems to be serious with this girl, so yeah.

And also, because they're hanging out so often, it's made her sisters wonder what they're even doing together.

"I think they're heading to the beach. Take a left turn here," Dani said, crawling forward from the backseat.

"Lisa, go faster. They're almost out of sight," Katherine added.

If the brunette wasn't driving, she would've just thrown herself out of the car. Heck, she didn't even want to be here in the first place. Honestly, she couldn't care less about what Lauren and Y/N do on their dates. And her sisters rushing her right now certainly isn't helping anything.

"Guys, I'm not even the one driving and you are stressing me out," Amy said in a small voice.

Lisa glanced at her shortest sister through the rearview mirror. "Thank you."

Okay, so Dani was right. They're really heading towards the beach right now. The car they've been following for a short ten minutes went to park in one of the many parking spots before the two main characters stepped out of the vehicle.

The sisters quickly adjusted their ridiculously stupid disguises before jumping out of the car too and spying at the couple from afar. Not many people were here on the beach today, but then again, not a lot of folks would be up to go for a swim in the ocean or for a tan in fricking November.

Pretty much, apart from Y/N and their sister, they were part of the fewer ones that have also decided to go out here on this very day.

The pair kicked off their shoes and just walked along the shores. Sometimes, the Y/E/C-eyed girl would walk closer to the ocean and splash some water on Lauren just because she feels like it, but for the most part, they just talked.

It was pretty boring to watch, to be honest. The sisters couldn't hear a single word from their conversation because they were way too far away from them. All they could see was them walking, and walking, and walking.

And then suddenly the pair turned to their direction.

"Duck!" Christina hissed out loudly. All of the sisters immediately duck and because of the sudden movement, they almost kneed each other.

After a few more moments, Dani carefully peeked her head up again to check if the coast was clear. Y/N and her sister have now moved to the middle of the sand, they've set up a little blanket and the two of them were just lying there on their backs.

"Okay, they didn't notice us," the youngest sister informed.

All of them slowly crept up again and continued to spy on them. They were just lying there talking to each other again. This really felt like watching a silent movie with no subtitle and barely any movements. It felt like a slow, painful torture to one particular sister.

Lisa turned to look at the rest, shaking her head. "Guys, this is really stupid. I mean, what even can they do on a beach? Let's just--"

And then Katherine, who was standing next to her, suddenly gripped tightly onto her arm. "What. The. Heck?!" she almost shrieked out but managed to keep her voice down.
