Chapter 15 - "Can I kiss you?"

(As you may have noticed, i'm starting to give chapters a title, it just gives me more of an overview. So just so you know)

Narrator's POV

One of the things Lauren hated the most was parties. And guess where she's heading right now?

Yup. She was heading towards a party.

Technically, she didn't want to come along, but Dani really wanted to go and since Amy's sick and Lisa's hidden in her room like where she's always seemed to be lately, the raven-haired girl's the only one that can go with her.

She's not even inside the house where the party is held yet and she's already hating every second of it.

Dani excitedly went up to knock on the door and not a second later, some dude swung it open and sort of invited them inside.

The younger sister pulled Lauren inside the house with her, making her get a little bit too overwhelmed by her surroundings. She wasn't done mentally preparing for this yet, dang it.

The three-story house was filled with underaged kids, alcohol, lots of unnecessary noises and some very loud music.

In other words, definitely not Lauren's usual scene.

Before the raven-haired girl even had time to adjust to this whole thing, Dani let go of her sister and dived straight into the crowd, searching for her friends.

"Wait, Dani!" Lauren yelled out but the party was way too loud for her to hear it. She can barely even hear her own voice.

Feeling very uncomfortable at this end of the dance floor, she decided to make her way to the kitchen. Hopefully, it'll be quieter there.

Okay, yeah, nope.

In the kitchen, there was a large table set up for a game of beer pong, making it just evenly crowded here. Just when she was ready to leave here and find another place to past time, someone grabbed ahold of her wrist. She turned around and was surprised to see it was Y/N.

"Hey Lauren," she greeted giddily.

At the way she was acting and talking, Lauren's just gonna make a wild assumption and say that she's a little drunk.

"Hi," the raven-haired girl breathed out in reply.

Y/N gave her a dopey grin in return before swinging Lauren's hand back and forth with hers. "Wanna join in for a game?" she asked, nodding towards the beer pong table.

Everyone was watching them, probably waiting for the Y/E/C-eyed girl to return to her place.

"Uhm..." She actually didn't want to, but with everyone watching them, she didn't feel comfortable denying the request so she just went along with it.

Soon, she and Y/N found themselves at one side of the table while two juniors were on the other side.

Since Lauren was the youngest here, she was allowed to go first. She grabbed the ping pong ball from the water cup and threw it at the opponent's side.

It went straight into one of the 10 cups standing there.

Lauren turned to look at Y/N, surprised with herself. The Y/E/C-eyed girl held up her hands for a double-high five before pulling the younger girl into a hug. In their short embrace, Lauren was able to smell the alcohol radiating off of Y/N. It made her wonder how much she's drunk.

And then it was the opponent's turn. They're practically pro in this, so of course the ball perfectly landed in one of their cups.

Y/N grabbed the ball out of the cup and threw the beer back in one go before throwing the ball. With all the drunkness in her system, it wasn't too surprising how off her aim was.
