Narrator's POV

"I need somebody to know, somebody to heal, somebody to have, just to know how it feels.
It's easy to say, but it's never the same. I guess I kinda liked the way you helped me escape."

Y/N watched behind the cameras as Cimorelli filmed their cover of Someone You Loved. Particularly, she was looking at Lisa. Despite the fact that the vocals were already pre-recorded, she was still belting out the song with full emotions.

She could hear the pain in her voice and the subtle glance she made her way when she was singing that verse. Not even gonna lie, she felt her heart slowly breaking at that sight. The Y/E/C-eyed girl really didn't like the fact that Lisa could relate to these lyrics. She was so focused on the blue-haired sister that she didn't even notice Lauren's been looking her way the entire time.

Just like her older sister, Lauren also felt the lyrics way more deeply than she should. And seeing how Y/N had her eyes so glued on Lisa that she couldn't see she was at a breaking point too just made it even harder for her to continue the song.

Oh how the tables have turned from the last time they were filming with the Y/E/C-eyed girl.

"Cut!" Sam said as he paused the filming. "Lauren, are you okay?"

Everyone immediately turned to look at her and it was just then they realized how not fine the raven-haired sister looked.

Lauren mustered up a small, tight-lipped smile. "Yeah, I'm okay. Just get this over with, so we can go back to recording. I don't wanna waste any more of her time," she said, nodding towards the Y/E/C-eyed girl.

They at first scheduled to work on their album today since it was one of the music producer's rare day-offs. But they also had to film their next video that's supposed to be released in three days, so yeah, if they wanna keep up with their Cimorelli Saturday, they need to film it now because it'll need to go through editing too. And so, now Y/N's forced to wait after they're finished filming to start with their studio session.

The filming's been going on for about an hour now, so Lauren really didn't want Y/N to wait for them any longer.

"Let's take a 10-minute break," the music producer said.

The sisters and the filming crew shot Lauren a worried glance before leaving the room. They figured she needed some space, and maybe specifically some space with the music producer in it. Y/N didn't get that message but still stayed in the room.

She carefully walked over to the raven-haired girl till she's facing her on the other side of the microphone. "Are you okay?" she asked, repeating the cameraman's question.

"I'm really okay," Lauren reassured. "The song is just... emotional?"

Y/N placed her hands on the mic stand before leaning closer to the raven-haired girl. "You sure? You don't sound so sure to me."

Lauren looked at her with great interest, she definitely was trying to lighten her up now. A more genuine smile crept its way onto her lips as she let out a small chuckle. "Yeah, I'm sure."

The music producer grabbed the stand and placed it behind her to move it out of her way, leaving a little less distance between her and Lauren now. "On a scale of 1 to Y/N Y/L/N, how sure are you?"

"What does that even mean?" Lauren asked with a giggle.

"Well, 1 obviously being not sure, and I'm always sure about shit, so me being very sure."

That was very arguable, but alright. The raven-haired girl just shook her head at her with an eye roll and a secret smile on her face. "Place the mic back. You're ruining the scene."
