THE RESCUE

After Flores told us where to find the cabin, Angelo said he knew where the cabin was. I sent Flores to the cells and we got a few men to go and rescue Angeles from Angel, I asked my mother and Angeles mother to watch over Leo and Candy while we went to rescue Angeles. We all shifted into our wolfs and we ran following Angelo to the cabin, once there we heard Angeles scream and I wanted to charge in and rescue her but my father made me stop so the fighters could get into their positions before him, Angeles father, Angelo and me went in to rescue her.

Once everybody was in their positions we started to walk cautiously to the cabins door, two man came out and we knock them out before they could react. We followed Angeles scent which started to mix with the smell of blood, we started to run following the smell and we came to a door that was open. Inside was Angeles chained to a chair while Angel was stabbing her, I started to see red and I ran pushing Angel so hard that she hit the wall of the room hard enough that she was knock out. I broke the chains that were holding Angeles on the chair, before I was able to see her beautiful eyes they had closed.

"Angeles, baby open your eyes for me. Please open your eyes beautiful, please" I begged her

"Benito we have to take her to the hospital, she is loosing a lot of blood and by the cut she has on her arm it was a silver knife that was used to stab her" my father said

I picked her up bridal style and started to run to the hospital as fast as I could, I didn't want my kids to lose their mother at such a young age. They still needed her in their lives, she still had to see them grow into the man and woman that they would grow up to be. I ran for what seemed hours until I was at the hospital where James was waiting ready to take her into the operating room and try to safe her live, he told me to stay in the waiting room and that he would come get me when she got out and was stable.

I waited and waited and waited some more, when I was rammed by two little bodies that hugged me so tight. I didn't have to look up to know that it was Leo and Candy, I put my hands around their little bodies and hugged them back with tears in my eyes. How could they just come up to me and hug me like this if they haven't seen me in so many years, how could they make me feel so weak and happy at the same time.

"How is mommy, daddy" they both said

"You called me daddy" I said

"Yeah, that is what you are to us right" Leo said

"Yeah your right, I am just surprised that you both called me daddy" I said

"Well we have been wanting to call you daddy since we found you but we were afraid you wouldn't like it" Candy said

"Why wouldn't I like it, I have been dreaming of this day for so long that now that it has become real I am just surprised to hear you both calling me that" I said

"Have you heard anything on Angeles yet" mom asked

"No, James said he would come and get me as soon as she was out of the operating room and she was stable" I said

"Hey Leo, Candy want to go get something to eat with me for everybody and on our way back we can buy some ice cream" Angelo said

"Can we buy something for mommy as well" Candy said

"Sure" Angelo said

After Angelo left with the kids to get something to eat for everybody plus the ice cream and something for Angeles, we all sat and continue to wait for James to come in to the waiting room and tell us how Angeles was doing. After about two hours James came out and looked at all of us, by this time Angelo, Leo and Candy were back and we had all ate. Leo and Candy had fallen asleep in my arms just like when they were babies, Angelo came to me and took them from me so I could get up and go to James.

"How is she" I asked

"She is stable now, she lost a lot of blood. We had to connect her to two machines to get all the silver out of her blood stream, she is in a room sleeping and recovering" James said

"Okay, what are you not telling us old friend" my dad and Napoleon said at the same time

"She is in coma, most likely because of the big amount of the silver that had gone through her blood stream before she got here" James said

"How long will she be in the coma" I asked

"I don't know Benito, it all depends on her and her wolf" James said

"Can I see her" I asked

"Sure, come with me" James said

With that he led me to the room where Angeles was, when I looked at her after walking into the room I couldn't believe my eyes. Her once beautiful tan skin now was as white as the winter snow, her red plump lips were now as purple as a grape. I walked up to the side of her bed and took her hand in mine, I could feel the sparks between us but I didn't know why. She had broken our mate bond so why was I feeling these sparks. I started to ignore the sparks and just focused on holding her hand, I didn't want her to leave Leo, Candy or any of us. I started to cry as I held her hand, begging her to open her eyes.
