MinervaXReader(High school AU)

You walked hand in hand with Minerva down the crowded hallways of the boarding school getting the usual homophobic slurs and harsh glares from other students, but that was something you tend to block out,never letting others opinions get to you,but it wasn't the same for Minerva.

Her grip on your hand tightened letting you know that she was starting to get anxious.You gave her hand a small squeeze bringing the back of it up to your lips giving it a soft lingering kiss before returning your attention to what was infront of you. As you finally made it to your lockers you were greated by a short blonde"Hey lovebirds" Violet greeted walking over to you and Minerva "Sup nugget" you said back ruffling her hair slightly getting her famous glare and a quiet mumble of "Stupid giant" making you giggle before turning to clementine and doing your special handshake only the two of you use.

After grabbing your books for class from your locker you grabbed Minerva's hand intertwining your hands once again before walking towards your first class.

*TIME SKIP* 

It was now lunch and you were waiting for Minerva under the maple tree where you had asked her to officially be yours three years ago.

It had now been four minutes into lunch and you began to grow worried, she was usually already there before you. If she was late it was usually due to her needing to talk to some teacher or that she didn't pack back up fast enough, but even then she would be there a few seconds after the final bell for lunch rung.

You decided to leave the tree and walked towards Minerva's third class, as you were walking to the entrance of the building you put your headphones on.Your music played through your headphones sending any anxious thoughts that were previously filling your mind away being replaced with the beat of currently playing song.

While walking past the courtyard something caught your eye. A large group of people huddled closely to the walls of the building starting to record the event on their phones while they chanted something that was incoherent to you.

 Deciding to walk over to the group to see what everyone was freaking out about you took out your headphones. The chanting became comprehensible the words they were chanting consisted of many homophobic slurs, with the most common ones being "Dyke!" and "Fag!"  causing anxious thoughts to fill your mind.The anxious thoughts were soon replaced however,anger and worry filling your mind instead when you noticed who they were shouting at....Minerva.

You quickly ran to the middle pushing and shoving through the shouting students to reach your girlfriend who was on a one vs' one conversation with the most homophobic girl in the school Lily.As you made it into the opening of the crowd you saw Lily lift her arm getting ready to punch Minerva.

Minerva closed her eyes tightly awaiting the brutal impact... but she didn't feel anything other then a gentle shove backwards followed by the the sound of a loud 'smack'. She opened her eyes at the sound of the 'smack' to see your tall form standing in front of her with your head slightly tilted to the right.

Looking back at Lily you wiped the blood from your now cut cheek giving her a death glare while you tightened your hands into a fists making your knuckles appear white "You have five seconds to run before I beat your ass to a pulp" you said making direct eye contact with a very scared looking Lily "Five!" you started to count down taking a step closer to the short brunette.

"Four!" you took another step "Three!" you continued to move closer to the stunned brunette "TWO!" one more number and she would be done "ONE!" you finally called grabbing her shirt collar holding her in place.

Minerva noticed how angry you were. She slowly walked up to you staying behind you making sure you wouldn't hit the girl even if she wanted you to. You pulled Lily close still glaring daggers at her "If I ever see you talking shit about my girlfriend again I will fucking destroy you got that bitch?" you growled lowly, Lily quickly nodded her head grabbing your hand that was still holding her collar trying to pry it away "That goes the same to all of you!" you yell out looking at the large crowd.

You look back at Lily "Now get lost"  you say lowly throwing her backwards causing her to trip and fall over her feet.Turning around to face Minerva you grab her hand and storm off towards the maple tree.When you reached the tree you let go of Minnie's hand and let out a quiet grunt before turning away form your girlfriend punching the tree in an attempt to get out all the pint up anger that flowed through you out.

Minerva walked over to you hugging you from behind rubbing soft circles into your skin and kissing your cheek in an attempt to calm you. You began to instantly calm down.Turning around in her arms to face her you hugged her back nuzzling your head into the crook of her neck.

"Are you okay Mins?" you asked sending a vibration through her body that not only made her giggle but it also brought a great amount of comfort to her at the feeling of the close proximity between the two of you.

"Thanks to you I'm perfectly fine, thank you so much (N/N) for helping me" she said while playing with your hair and swaying side to side in a slow type of manner to keep you calm.

you nuzzled deeper into her neck tightening your grip around her waist making sure she was as close as possible to you. You slowly inhale and exhale while giving Minerva small kisses along her neck here and there.

She would smile every time she felt you leave a lingering kiss along her neck giving her a small amount of all the love and affection that you feel towards her.

You moved away from her neck slightly giving her a kiss and pulling away a few seconds later connecting your forehead with hers "I love you Minnie" you mumbled against her lips before kissing her again then resuming the hug again nuzzling your head back into the crook of her neck.

Minerva let out a content sigh "I love you too (Y/N)" 

"Now let me see your cuts" she said pulling your face out of her neck to softly run her thumb over your cut that was inches away from hitting your eye. You winced at the contact making the slightly shorter ginger frown. You gave her small smile "I'm okay baby, I promise. As long as your not hurt I'm happy" you held her hand that was still on your cheek giving it a small kiss and rubbing small circles into the back of it.

Minerva gave a small grin, that is until she noticed your bleeding knuckles and the small cuts that were littered all around your hand. She gently grabbed your hand and ran her thumb along your knuckles that were already bruising up. As her thumb made contact you winced and let out a muffled 'yelp' "yeah... that hurt..." you said as you closed your eyes tightly waiting for the sharp pain that shot through your hand to pass.

"What am I ever gonna do with you (Y/N)?" She questioned letting out a little giggle before pulling you towards the nurse's office.
