Rainy Day Dinner[M]

Its been pouring rain the entire day and you decide to cook a lovely dinner for your wife after her stressful day of work.

Minerva pulled into the drive way of your shared home, she let out a heavy sigh and laid her forehead on the stirring wheel. This week had been stressful, not only for you but also for Minerva and today seemed to drag on just like the others did. Every work day seemed to be never ending and it made her feel so much better now that the work week was over.

With heavy eye's and an achy body she stepped out of the car and quickly made her way to the front door. The rain was rather brutal today, it hadn't stopped at all and it seemed to pour harder and harder as hours continued to pass.

When Minerva entered the house she pressed her back against the door and closed her eyes, she was so happy to be home, but she was even more happy when she smelt the lovely smell of your cooking.

A smile came to her face as she stepped away from the door and made her way to the kitchen. When she spotted you standing in the kitchen her smile grew, you stood over the stove swaying side to side while you hummed a continuous tune that you seemed to have made up.

Minerva made her way over to you and wrapped her arms around your waist before laying her head on her back. You jumped slightly, you hadn't heard her when she came in but you knew as soon as she had her arms wrapped around you it was only Minerva.

You let out a sigh of relief causing Minerva to lightly giggle "Sorry babe, didn't mean to scare you" she whispered, her voice muffled since her face was nuzzled into your back "It's okay baby, I didn't hear you come in. How was work?" she groaned and you turned around to wrap your arms around her to pull her closer to your body "I know this week has been stressful baby, but at least it's the weekend now. Plus I'm making your favorite dinner" you left a gentle kiss on top of her head while you gently ran your hand up and down her back.

She sighed out in content and tightened her arms around you "God I love you" she whispered causing you to laugh and kiss her cheek "I love you too Minnie. Now why don't you take a nice warm shower, let your body relax, and change into some comfy clothes.I'll have dinner ready for you when your done" Minerva smiled and pulled back to give you a kiss "That sounds amazing. I'll be back soon babe" she kissed you one more time before making her way upstairs to take a nice warm shower.

When Minerva stepped out of the shower she felt ten times more relaxed then she ever had that entire week, she smiled and took a deep breath in before letting it out slowly while heading over towards your shared closet. She went over to your side of the closet and grabbed one of your shirts before grabbing some sweatpants and changing.

When she was done changing she made her way downstairs and to the kitchen. She wrapped her arms around your waist once again and placed her head on your back. You turned around again and kissed the top of her head "Feel better?" you questioned, a wide smile on your face as you saw her relaxed state.

She nodded her head and kiss your cheek "Very" she smiled. You giggled and pulled her into a hug before pulling away "Dinners ready baby" Minerva cheered and grabbed a plate "Finally!, I'm starving!" you laughed and placed your hand on the small of her back before serving Minerva dinner.

Minerva took the last bite of her dinner and sat back in her seat with closed eyes and a smile on her face, you turned to her and chuckled causing her to open her eyes and cock her eyebrow at you "What?" you shook your head and chuckled once again "You. Your silly antics, I love it...I love you" you spoke, your voice laced with sincerity, and your eyes filled with love.

Minerva's smile grew wider and she looked to her lap as a pink hue covered her cheeks, she chuckled and shook her head "I love you too....You big sap" she stood up from her chair and walked towards you. You stood up as well and wrapped your arms around her waist as hers went around your neck.

You laid your forehead on hers and giggled "I don't deserve you" you whispered, while staring into her beautiful blue orbs "I'm the one that doesn't deserve you Y/N. I don't know what I did to have you" she leaned in to kiss you, your lips connected in a passionate and soft kiss.

When you pulled away you leaned your forehead on hers once again. You stood there in a comfortable silence until Minerva let out a long yawn. You lifted your hand to her cheek and ran your thumb over her soft skin "Ready for bed baby?" she closed her eyes and nodded her head while yawning once more.

You nodded your head before letting go of her to wash the dishes. You returned just a few minutes later.

You kissed her forehead and put your hand on the small of her back once again "Lets get to bed" you whispered "Carry me?" she questioned, you sighed and picked her sleepy form up before carrying her to bed.

"Goodnight my love" you spoke softly as you gently placed her on the bed, she gave you a sleepy smile before motioning for you to join her. You laid down on your side of the bed and Minerva clung to your side right away.

"Goodnight Y/N" "Night Minnie"

You held your sleeping girlfriend in your arms as you closed your eyes and ran your hand up and down her back. The sound of her soft snores and the pouring rain lulled you to sleep, the last words you spoke before you fell into a deep and comfortable sleep happened to be your favorite words to say "I love you Minerva, so much"
