~Reader helps save Clementine when Aj brings her back from the barn~

You paced back and forth in front of the rusted gate that separated you from the outside world, keeping you away from your girlfriend who you had been separated from hours ago. The last time you had seen her was when you had crossed the bridge, she had a large gash in her leg from Minerva's ax and just the thought of her being so injured made you worried.

You were consumed with worry and guilt. Guilt because you practically left Aj and Clem to fend for themselves, and worry because they were being chased by a horde of walkers.

Your hands were shaking and sweating, your breathing was labored and your mind was running wild with scenarios you didn't want to think of. However, all of that went away for one split second when you heard someone call out.

A sense of relief washed over you as you heard the familiar voice of Aj call out, but when you heard the words he was shouting your blood ran cold.

"Help!. Please!"

You didn't waste another second, instantly pushing the gate open as you sprinted towards Aj's voice.

"AJ!?" you called out, hearing him reply somewhere in the distance. You turned to the direction of his voice and sprinted over to him, your heart dropping into your stomach when you saw what he was pushing.

He was pushing a wheelbarrow, and inside of it was Clementine. She was clearly unconscious, her usual light brown complexion now completely pale as blood covered her jacket.

"C-Clem. . . Aj what the hell happened!?"

you ran over to the young boy, taking his place so you were now pushing the wheelbarrow.

"S-s-she got bit while w-we were climbing the h-hill. I remembered h-how she said that if you cut off the limb t-there's a chance you can still live."

he had tears running down his cheeks while walker guts covered him from head to toe. Your frown deepened and you sprinted towards the school as fast as you could, tears pooling in your eyes as you glanced down to your girlfriend.

"Ruby!. Ruby get over here now!"

You ran through the open gate and stopped in the middle of the courtyard. Placing the legs of the wheelbarrow down you quickly stepped to the side of it, grabbing Clementine and pulling her up to carry her into your shared room.

Ruby and Aj trailed behind you while the others stayed outside in utter shock.

Kicking open the door to your room you quickly yet gently place Clementine on the bed. Looking down to her leg your face paled. There was a lot of blood and the place the other half of her leg was supposed to be was a stub.

Quickly getting into action you pulled Clem's torn pant leg up and undid your belt, wrapping it around Clementines injured leg to stop the bleeding, tightening it around the limb like it was a tourniquet.

Ruby came to your side as Aj stood on the other half of the room watching as you and Ruby worked on Clementine.

You continued to work on Clem's leg, eventually getting the bleeding to stop so you could get a good look at the cut limb. You frowned before shaking your head and turning to Ruby.
