Separation Anxiety(VxR)

The sun had begun to set sending a beautiful ray of colors to cascade against the fluffy clouds.

The moon shined brightly as the darkened sky began to appear, the long grass and leaves lightly swayed back and forth as a light breeze blew.

Violet stood by the front entrance of the gate pacing as she waited for your arrival.

Marlon wanted you to go on a solo supply run which caused a great amount of worry to consume Violet at the thought of you being by yourself at such a dangerous time.

You were hesitant at first but you soon realized the school was in need of medicine,food and weapons.

When you were ready to start the supply run you told Violet you would be back before sun down, but the moon was already out and the light the sun once brought was fading away quickly.

Violet never liked when you went out even if you had Louis or Aasim with you, then again they weren't the smartest people in the school so she had a valid reason to be worried.

As she continued her pacing Ruby walked up to the teen knowing that Violet tends to panic in these situations due to her separation anxiety.

"You alright there sug'?" she questioned

Violet stopped her pacing and turned towards the shorter southern girl.

"(y-y/n) isn't back yet a-and my anxiety is kinda g-getting bad"

"I-uh c-cant really b-breathe Ruby" The shortness of breath caused the blonde to place her back to the bricked wall and slide down.

Placing her head in her hands she began to gasp for air as her body shook and tears fell down her face.

Ruby rushed over to the panicking teen and tried to add as much comfort to her as possible. The other kids began to group around the two only making her anxiety worsen.

Everything Ruby did to try and help seemed to be un-effective.

Ruby peered out the gate in hopes to see you there and she thanked the gods that you were. Your tall figure held to bags in each hand and one on your back.

You raised your head from the ground and made eye contact with Ruby, although it was rather dark you saw the outline of her body. Her arm waved you over in a quick manner causing you to give a questionable look but you quickened your pace anyways.

As you got closer to the gate Ruby called out to you "Hurry (Y/n) it's Vi!" she yelled.

Hearing that made you drop your bags by the gate and run quickly over to Ruby having the other kids bring in your loot.

Running towards Ruby you noticed Violets shaking figure with her head still in her hands as she swayed her body back and forth, sobbing could be heard followed by gasps of air sending you into a protective state.

Kneeling in front of the girl you lifted her head from her hands gently making her look into your eyes

"(Y-Y/n)?" she questioned

"Yeah, yeah its me I'm right here. It's okay baby your safe I'm safe. I need you to follow my breathing okay baby?"

She gripped onto your hand and nodded her head as she began to inhale and exhale following your movements.

As she followed your breathing you gently brought her hand the you were holding up to your lips to leave a gentle lingering kiss before rubbing your thumb over her knuckles.

Once she was calm enough you pulled her to your chest letting her nuzzle her head into your neck as you ran your hand up and down her back.

You looked to Ruby and the others and nodded your head in another direction telling them to leave the two of you alone.

As they walked away you continued to whisper sweet comforting words into Violets ear as she began to completely relax in your arms.

Pulling her head out of your neck gently you kissed her on the lips.

"See? I'm right here and I'm a-okay no bites no scratches no bullet wounds." she let out a sigh of relief as she wrapped her hand around your neck. She let out a few giggles a you kissed her cheeks getting rid of her tears causing you to smile.

"You okay?" she nodded her head and placed her forehead against yours.

"You scared me...You said you'd be here before sun down" she whispered.

You sighed before replying "I know.. I'm sorry I was late but the bags I was carrying were rather heavy so they slowed me down a shit ton. Buut~ I did get you something"

She took her head off of yours and gave you a questionable look. "And what's that?"

"Well you've been wanting them ever since the Apocalypse started..." you tried to hint

"That was a shitty hint, I've wanted a lot of things (n/n)"

"Okay true. I was walking in a small town and I found an old store, the backup generator was still working so all the frozen food was still good to eat soooo~....."

She gasped and a smile appeared on her face "No way!... You got me nuggets?" she questioned not even giving you a chance to reply as she ran to where the other kids placed the bags in search for her nuggets.

You shook your head as you chuckled before following Violet.

When you reached her you wrapped your arms around her waist and place your head in the crook of her neck "I'm starting to think you love nuggets more than me" you mumbled

"Yeah kinda" she said in a joking tone causing you to pull back from the one way hug to place your hand over your heart with a 'pained' expression "Meanie" you pouted.

Violet threw her head back with a laugh before kissing you on the cheek and pulling you into a hug.

"You know I love you" she said

You giggle before placing your head in the crook of her neck once again

"Yeah but I love you more"

"No! that's not possible"

"Yep I love you more and most bitch you cant beat that"

"You're a dork"......."I'm your dork"

"No your my nugget~" "And your my flower~"
