Finger Painting(BxR)

The sky was bright blue and the sun was shining brightly as a summer breeze blew through the air.

You had just gotten off work and you were so happy to be home.

Stepping out of your car you made your way to the front door and unlocked it stepping into your house.

Closing the door behind you,you called out to your family. "I'm Home!" you yelled, not even a second later you heard the cheerful squeal of your five year old daughter followed by the pitter patter of her small feet hitting the wooden floor beneath her.

"MOMMY~" the five year old squealed, you walked up to your daughter and grabbed her from under her arms pulling her to your height and pulling her into a hug.

"Hi bug!" you squealed back as you swirled in a circle earning a giggle from the younger girl in your arms.

You stopped swirling and began to tickle her side causing her to giggle more. After attacking her sides you gave her a kiss on the cheek and began to walk towards your room as Alex nuzzled her face into your neck.

You stepped into your room and the smile you already wore grew wider when you spotted your wife on the bed watching some kids show you guessed Alex wanted to watch before you came home.

placing Alex on the bed by Brody you kissed both their cheeks before walking into the closet and changing. Once you finished changing you walked out of the closet and back into the bedroom before sitting on the bed allowing Alex to crawl into your lap and cuddle with you.

You smiled down at your baby girl before looking back to your wife and giving her a kiss on the lips.

"So, what do you wanna do today Alex?" you questioned. Your daughter quickly stood up and bounced up and down on the bed while yelling "Finger painting!".

You and Brody chuckled before standing up as well. Grabbing onto Alex you held her arms out like an air plain and made a 'whooshing' sound while running out of your bedroom and into the play room.

Brody shook her head at your childish antics before following the two of you at a much slower pace with a large smile on her face as she thought of your cute family you had together.

Everything for your painting activity was set up so you gave your daughter the okay to start painting.

Dipping her finger into the red finger paint she brought it up to the canvas that stood in front of her before starting to draw random patterns and lines.

You and Brody followed your daughter and began to paint on your canvases.

It had been ten minutes and all of your artworks were looking great. Alex managed to draw you, Brody, and herself, all in stick figures of course but you found it rather adorable that out of all the things she could have painted she painted her family.

Brody Painted a cherry blossom tree that complimented her finger prints that represented the leaves of the beautiful pink tree.

You drew the place where you proposed to Brody, the golden gate bridge. You met her there when you were going through a hard time in life and she helped you get through it, so you proposed to her where it all started.

You stood there looking at all your paintings when Brody walked over to you with Alex in her arms and before you could react Alex wiped her hand that had yellow paint all over it onto your cheek.

You gasped at the weird feeling and looked towards Brody and Alex with your mouth wide open.

You quickly wiped purple paint over your hand and turned to your wife and daughter "Run!" Brody yelled while carrying Alex with her out of the room hoping that you wouldn't be able to catch her because she really didn't want to get messy.

"Come back here!" you chuckled while running after the two.

"You'll never get us mommy!" Alex squealed

You quickly cut Brody off and pulled her and Alex into a big hug, you wiped your cheek with paint on it against Brodys cheek and your hand with purple paint against Alex's cheek causing a giggle to escape the young girl and 'eew' from Brody.

"I got you bug" you said.

Kissing Brody on the lips you then turned to Alex and kissed her forehead before grabbing her from Brody's arms and carrying her towards the bathroom "BaTh TiMe!" you exclaimed in a funny voice causing your daughter to giggle as Brody followed behind with a smile on her face.
