Delta[M]

~You travel to the Deltas camp hoping to save Minerva. It doesn't go as planned~

 A deadly crunch sounded through the air as you put your combat knife through the last walkers skull. Looking around at your surroundings you gave an exhausted sigh, wanting nothing more than to stop somewhere so you could get some sleep but, that wasn't going to be possible when really, the only thing that was on your mine was getting Minerva back.

You stepped over the countless decaying bodies and made your way further into the forest, a deadly silence consuming you as you thought of a plan.

"Sneak in,find Minerva,sneak out,go home. Shouldn't be too bad" you thought, but boy were you wrong. The closer you got to the Deltas home base the faster your heart raced. You gulped as you came to the end of the woods.

The trees that once surrounded you were now barely providing cover. You peered past the slim leaves and watched as people of the Delta walked around without a care in the world, it was as if they thought they were in a world where walkers didn't exist.

You scoffed as you saw some 'guards' play with the carcass of a completely deceased walker, they laughed and moved the walkers jaw up and down, seemingly making it talk as they did ridiculous voices.

Moving your gaze from the childish guards you began to look for an opening. You spotted one just inches away from the two guards, it was gonna take some skill and swiftness if you wanted to get in there without being caught but you were up for the challenge, after all you were rather competitive when it came to survival.

You waited for the two sentinels to walk away from your entry zone before quickly dashing towards it, immediately going behind cover when you were provided with it. You peered through the the large crowds of Delta group members, desperately searching for the familiar fiery red hair of Minerva.

"Come on. Come on, Minerva where the hell did they take you" you muttered eyes scanning any nook and cranny that was visible. You sighed out in relief when you caught a glimpse of red hair. Your eyes shifted from the fiery red hair to the many trails the lead to her.

It was going to be a challenge to get over to her safely. Almost everyone that was in the Delta wore a similar outfit which meant that the chances of you walking in the open and not getting caught was a one and a million chance.

You took a deep breath before slowly letting it out. You grasped your combat knife in your hand before sprinting towards Minerva. It took you a few minutes to reach her as you dodged everyone and anyone who came your way but you finally made it to her.

"Minnie!" you quietly whispered. Her head whipped towards the sound of your voice. Her eyes went wide out of shock, her mouth opened and closed but any words that laid on the tip of her tongue vanished.

"Minerva, come on I'm here to get you out." she shook her head and backed away from you "Y/n, how did you even find me." "That's not important right now!. Come on we need to get out of here!" she shook her head and squinted her eyes at you, practically staring into your soul.

"You need to leave,y/n. Now" she spoke through gritted teeth, jaw clench and hands balled in fists. You shook your head and took a step forward, reaching a hand out to hold hers.

"Minerva, please!. Lets just go home!" your finger tips barely touched her hand when she yanked it away "This is my home, y/n" "W-what?" Minerva scoffed and stepped back another step "This is my home y/n. You need to leave" you shook your head, a single tear falling from your eye.

"I am not leaving without you. Baby, please! This isn't your home. Ericsons is"

"You will leave, y/n. Either leave on your own or I'll make you leave by force."

You took a step closer to her and placed a hand on her cheek "Please" you whispered, staring into her ocean-blue eyes. Her hand clasped around your wrist, gently lowering your hand from her face.

"Go home" you sniffled, more tears leaking from your eyes and trailing down your cheeks "I-I can't"

"And why not?." "Y-you're my home, Minnie. Please, you need to come back"

You continued to plead her, wanting - no needing - her to come back home with you but, you were starting to lose hope. Every plead that fell from your lips always got the same reply 'No'. You tried to stay calm and hold in all of your emotions but it was getting harder and harder with each passing moment. The conversation started out as calm and quiet but that was thrown out the window when Minerva's voice rose.

"Leave!" she shouted, pointing towards the opening you had entered from "Go home!. I don't need you!" you jumped at the tone of her voice. 

Those four words continued to echo throughout your mind. She didn't need you. She probably never did. You took a deep breath and bit the inside of your cheek to prevent yourself from letting out a sob.

Your heart shatter at her words and the broken bits and pieces it left behind turned to dust as she pushed you harshly, the force of the push making you land on your ass.

Minerva seemed shocked at her action, seemingly showing the real Minerva you grew to love, however her state of shock quickly disappeared as she walked over to you.

"Leave" you scooted away then stood up, gazing into her eyes one last time as you continued to shed tears.

"I love you" you whispered. You so desperately needed to hear her say it back to you but instead you got something you never wanted to hear "I don't love you" she spat, venom seeping through her words.

You bit down harder on your cheek, a metallic taste filling your mouth as your teeth tore through your flesh. You sniffled and nodded your head sadly before turning around and running out of the Deltas camp.

Minerva watched as you sprinted away. She sighed heavily, a single tear falling down her cheek as the words she had said to you registered in her mind. She had never wanted to hurt you, that was never her intention. All she wanted was for you to be safe and she knew if you stayed with her safety wouldn't be provided.
